Just because businesses are mostly dominated by men it doesn't mean that their goal is to collectively hold women down. It's all about making money.
Men's preference for the ideal figure of a woman is biological and not a social construct. The patriarchy did not have a clandestine meeting and decided what beauty standards should be followed. Companies only cater to the demand but the marketing often goes overboard that's why sometimes it results in anorexic individuals.

Yes, that doesn't mean that men are James bond villains. The result to women's problems are just collateral damage. But still damage are being done. What patriachry is all men and women are victims of these. Don't translate it literally. It's like this, people are saying capitalism is evil, the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer, but they don't mean Manny Villar is evil, or Lucio Tan is evil, they don't have a weekly meeting on how to be evil.

What I'm pointing out is that the patriarchy has nothing to do with it. It's mostly due to the unscrupulous business practices of companies.

I agree though that the Kardashians are terrible role models and influencers. They're teaching women how to be dumb, basic b!tches devoid of substance.
