Not surprised that many young people went there. Most rock fans, regardless of age, know who GNR is. I bet lots of the young fans were influenced by their older family members/relatives.

i know this kid who discovered metal music from my generation via video games

and from then on he's been watching videos on youtube discovering more and more bands

nakakatuwa lang a teenager knows my generation's music and likes it

I remember a group of teens singing to a song by the beach and from the few lyrics that I heard, I googled it and it was Blink 182's I Miss You. It was released in the 2000's and they must be about 7 then. I can't believe they were listening to punk at that age so I figured they must have learned about it much later from YouTube or something.
