Sausage Party (2016). R-rated animated comedy with an anti-religion message.

Chinatown (1974) on Blu-ray. Murder mystery. One of the all-time greats.

If Ani didn't show off his lightsaber and force skills, he could've gotten to the guy at the end of the room quicker, before the guy had the chance to pass the data. 😂

"Die Beautiful" at SM Southmall. Wife and I will try to watch other mmff films like "Babae sa Septic Tank 2" and "Sunday Beauty Queen" while I'm on vacation.

Kind of disappointed that there aren't that many moviegoers (the cinema wasn't even filled to a quarter of its capacity) and that user ratings of mmff entries all hover around 3 stars on ClickTheCity. I'd like to think that the low turn out is because today's a regular working day for majority of employees.

I watched Rogue One for a second time last week and it was better since the details were very well-thought of. I like how it definitively answers the question of why the Death Star had such an awful flaw.

Then Ep. 7 was playing on TV and I realized it was better than Rogue One even though it was basically Ep. 4 all over again, just with a bit of freshness infused (Rey > Luke and Leia combined) plus much better graphics. 😂

BTW - RIP Carrie Fisher. 😢

Felicity Jones is really pretty in a hipster way but they made her look too much like a soldier in Rogue One. I guess in that sense, Rogue One is quite revolutionary as it doesn't rely on eye candy and tacky romance to sell.

Also watched Seklusyon and Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2 yesterday. Seklusyon was ambitious with great cinematography, but its promising plot was poorly executed. Septic Tank 2 was much better - a comedy with a great social commentary. If more movies were like Septic Tank, people won't have to settle for Enteng to get their entertainment fix.
