Went back to Louise Fletcher's Mildred Ratched in Cuckoo's where she & Jack won Oscars...together w/ Best Pic, Best Director(Miloš Forman) & Best Adapted Screenplay. Must watch.[emoji106]...Even if one isn't getting into Netflix's Ratched.

pretty stirring stuff from direk robert redford. it's probably his indictment on how America sees itself as the savior of the world and how much they put a lot of energy and resources in upholding that belief, but in so doing this thinking has ultimately failed a lot of its citizens too. come to think of it, it seems like china has fallen for the same glitzy thought trap too.

and you can see how this psyche has also helped laid the groundwork of the rise of american domestic terrorists today. by focusing on perceived external threats, they let the white supremacists, far rights, secessionists, etc amass their power and influence over a large swathe of their populace. pero siyempre, hindsight is always 20/20.

First 2 episodes are great. It has that 50s-60s sitcom style like the Dyk Van Dyke Show and I Dream of Jeannie. But with an ominous overtone in the end.
