Rurouni Kenshin Trust and Betrayal.... sa bahay lang. Best anime movie ever. Iniyakan ko kanina.
Finally, got to watch, Star Trek Into Darkness 2D, last night with wifey at the ATC...
Adm Pike, Adm Marcus, Carol(by whom Capt Kirk had a son, David, in the original story), Khan, Prime Directive(one of the books in the series), and tribbles(The Trouble with Tribbles- another episode in the original series) were in there, but in totally different circumstances/situations..... I am not certain if Kobayashi Maru was mentioned in the film....
Nice movie. The story is very 'trekky'... "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few"...
Again,- a total reboot of the story... Like the love triangle among Lt Uhura, Kirk and Spock (I remember it was only Uhura and Kirk in the original story), and the affection of Nurse Cristine Chapel(and her lomik soup) with Mr. Spock ....
So, current fans of the series will not be able to discuss the 'legend' in the same platform as the original Trekkies.... The story and the characters are in different planes....
It's not the same as the revival of an old song,- same lyrics, probably different tempo, different artist.... However, both original and current fans can relate with each other....
The new Star Trek cannot offer that to the original and current fans.... Nevertheless,- entertaining.,...

the girl w/ a dragon tattoo via star movies last night
the hollywood version sucked eggs. :suka:
the novel was way way better. in fact, the swedish movie adaptation of the book was more commendable in its efforts to keep the integrity of the story. i'm pretty sure the author was rolling in his grave during the run of the american flick
Fast & Furious 6 just now. Same cheesy, stupid lines, and over the top action. But I think it was better than the last. I definitely enjoyed it better than Fast 5.
There are 3 more F&F movies planned after this one. Plus, the end of the movie finally ties up when exactly in the franchise story line the third movie, Tokyo Drift is. Yes, F&F6 explains how Han can be alive in movies 4 to 6 when he apparently died in the middle of Tokyo Drift.
