Parasite falls into the latter category, and it's a disservice to the team behind the film if it gets dismissed as just another way to pass time for 2 hours. That's just me though. Yes we all know of stories where people transcend the socioeconomic castes they were born into, but these outliers are few and far in between compared to the vast majority who end up living similar states to what they were born into.

Each scene offers a good double-click of the rampant socioeconomic inequality and lack of upward mobility that the younger generations of today are facing.
