Ford v Ferrari with my son (6yo) while the girls (9 and 4) watched Frozen2 with the wife (Ayala Mall).

It's my first time to watch a movie with my son (usually the wife goes with the kids) and I learned something. Never feed kids sweet food (like KK and cakes) before a movie. Pretty good movie though.

Star Wars -- The Rise of Skywalker

I give it an above average score. I know the critics panned it, but I say it wasn't that bad. Lots of fast-paced action, a smattering of surprises here and there, and lots and lots of throwbacks to the first trilogy will keep fans happy, sentimental, and longing for more -- though I'm not sure how the future will be if they do plan to make another trilogy. For now, I'm just happy we have this, and I got to watch it. Let the future take care of itself.

Yaay. I couldn't help but check film Twitter too and the reviews are mixed. But they say the 'fans' will be happy.

i am a star wars fan. i watched it. i liked what i saw.
it was designed for the fans, not for the critics.
i doubt if newcomers will understand the movie.

I recall the critic reception to the X-Files feature films. The Xphiles Who Wanted To Believe The Truth is Out There cared nil....We Trusted No One...not those critics. Happy.[emoji4]

Breaking Bad & Saul may not have been without The X-Files.[emoji848]

If it's a rehash of the previous Star Wars movies, then it is just in the same caliber as Episodes VII and VIII, both of which were pathetic in creativity and groundbreaking story telling...

Rogue One puts a much better spin to the Star Wars Saga....
