Heroes

Heroes is a serial saga about people all over the world discovering that they have superpowers and trying to deal with how this change affects their lives.

The relatable superheroes include:
Peter Petrelli, a 30-year-old male nurse who believes can fly
Isaac Mendez, a 28-year-old junkie who has the ability to paint images of the future when he is high
Niki Sanders, a 33-year-old Las Vegas showgirl who can do incredible things with mirrors
Hiro Makamura, a 24-year-old Japanese comic-book geek who literally makes time stand still
D.L. Hawkins, a 31-year-old inmate who can transport himself through walls
Matt Parkman, a beat cop who can hears other people's thoughts
Claire Bennet, 17-year-old cheerleader who defies death at every turn

Not only are they discovering what having superpowers means to them but also the larger picture of where their superpowers come from. Eventually their superpowers draw them together when they try to evade the series' antagonist who wants to harness their super-DNA for himself.

Their ultimate destiny is nothing less than saving the world.

Anyone watching this? (via ******* downloads)

Its kinda like x-men but their powers are more low key and usually seen more of a curse than a gift.

The flipside of having superhuman abilities. Makes for good character development.

If you want protagonists with powers that are really low-key, watch Mystery Men. :D

if you can have the powers (and associated problems of having it) of one character, which one would you choose?

I would prefer Hiro's power over time & space.

am following this series too well... so far

i think there's more to peter petrelli's flying abilities coz time stopped when he was in the train with mohinder suresh (though not sure coz there was this ninja dude who appeared from the future) and in the last episode, he was able to exhibit the power of isaac (i.e. the one who paints the future) by finishing one of isaac's painting himself.. maybe peter's powers are kinda like rogue, in x-men..

Peter's powers is to mimic other people's powers. He can't fly, but he can with his brother, who has the ability to fly. Same thing when he exhibited Isaac's powers. He borrows your powers

Kaya ba ng powers mo?

Save the cheerleader! Save the world!

yup, I think Peter's power is "power mimicry"... basically he can copy the powers of other people that he comes in close proximity.

Sounds a lot like Gideon from Marvel comics.

If I were to have the abilities of a particular superhero, I'd like to have those of Slapstick, another Marvel character. Imagine being the embodiment of a cartoon: super stretch powers, time-warping, hammerspace and the ability to shrug off any damage. Overall general indestructibility. I'd play cruel pranks on every super villain there is.

Problema lang eh nawawala yung genitalia ni Slapstick when in cartoon form.

just finished watched the pilot episode. its interesting.
downloading all available episodes now.

i would like hiro's power din siguro. di na kelangan ng kotse. di na kelangan ng kahit anong transportation budget. ok din yung cheerleader, ala wolverine.
