    of course it's bruce lee!
before him, i daresay, fight scenes looked like the players each had a bucketful of bananas before filming..
every other fight scene since, was influenced consciously or unconsciously (now who wouldn't remember those scenes of bruce?) by bruce lee, including quentin, i believe..
before betamax, times theater in quiapo offered the bruce lee film festival. three movies. the house was full! labas kami 1 o'clock.. hilong-hilo at gutom, but very happy..

besides fight scenes, bruce lee broke from the mold that chinese characters had to be "low quality characters" in western movies. see green hornet.

btw, i didn't see van damme..

The fight scenes in John Wick 1 & 2 were better than The Matrix IMHO.

Also, the one in The Transporter where Jason Statham fights off several thugs in his suit.

Same lead actor the setting is literally a few hours after the first movie ends.

If that's the case, I have to download the Raid 2. This is a must watch.
