I found this piece amusing. Sting moves his concert from MOA to Smart-Araneta Coliseum because of environmental concerns over the SM Group. I wonder what would happen if he finds out that Smart Communications and Philex Mining Corp are all under Manny Pangilinan. Philex is one of the companies being protested against by anti-mining environmentalists, and one of the reasons why MVP parted ways with ADMU. Before we know it, the Sting concert just might get cancelled altogether. Huwag naman sana.
Sting concert moved to Araneta Coliseum - Home » Other Sections » Breaking News
MANILA, Philippines - The official website for former "Police" frontman Sting has announced that his one-night concert on December 9 will now be at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Originally planned to be at the new SM MOA Arena, the environmentalist Sting reportedly forced the concert's organizers to make the venue change after finding out about the 182 trees that would be affected by the expansion of SM Baguio.
The official statement from the site reads: "Local promoters Ovation Productions confirmed today that the Sting: Back to Bass concert previously scheduled at the Mall of Asia Arena will now be held at the Araneta Coliseum. There is no chage to the show date, which remains Sunday, December 9th, 2012. Back to Bass features Sting performing many of his greatest hits, stripped down, with a 5-piece band featuring his longtime guitarist Dominic Miller, Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), David Sancious (keyboards), Peter Tickell (electric fiddle), and Jo Lawry (vocals). Tickets may be excanged beginning October 25, 2012."
A tweet posted by the Mall of Asia Arena (*MOAArena) account showed a document stating: "We regret to announce the cancellation of Sting's Back to Bass Tour at the Mall of Asia Arena slated to happen on December 9, 2012. The Mall of Asia Arena managements, with its commitment in providing its patrons with choice entertainment, has exhausted all measures for the show to push through. Howver, we recognize and respect the fact that the show's cancellation is the artist's own decision. For ticket refunds, ticket-holders are asked to kindly contact Ovation Productions at (02) 532-8883 and (02) 747-2143. We hope for your kind understanding and thank you for your usual support."

Co-branding lang naman si Smart sa Araneta. May profit share ba Smart sa gate receipts ng Araneta?

From Araneta Coliseum, now Smart Araneta - SPORTS FOR ALL By Philip Ella Juico - The Philippine Star » News » Sports:
Naming rights are essentially financial deals that allow a corporation (in this case, SMART) or for-profit entities to attach its name to a public assembly facility, usually a sports stadium, for a period of time ranging from three to 20 years. By entering into a naming rights deal, SMART gets a property to promote its products and services, strengthen brand reputation and goodwill, enhance name recall and several other benefits (without the headache of running the stadium) that ultimately should lead to increased market share and profits.Last edited by JackFlash; October 24th, 2012 at 12:03 PM.
