The movie was shot entirely in greenscreen. Even though the Mach 5 was designed to run in real life, it was suspended using chains during filming, and the motoring effects were added in post-production.
This is also the first Wachowski film made using high-definition video.

There is a full scale fiber-glass replica of the Mach5 at Rockwell Powerplant mall.

Heavy Anime Style CG driven movie, parang PC gaming. Suprisingly good, if you get past the over use of pop art. My nephews enjoyed it. But others may find the film length just too long, which may affect its overall box office sales.

I found it pretty entertaining, albeit dizzying during some scenes. Also, I had to suspend my disbelief at times and accept that race cars of the future can do mid-air pirouettes and bump into each other apparently without getting dented.
