The invention of auto-tune made the sintonados sound better when singing.

Si Anne Curtis sintunado pero hindi gumagamit ng auto tune. Pero sold out pa rin ang concert. Mukhang nakarelate ang mga sintunado kay Annebisyosa

True that. But being [sintunado or out of tune is now being celebrated nga as talent, as Ry Tower pointed out.

Tapos nauuna na nga ang hitsura at crowd appeal kesa sa talent, as can be shown in Pinoy Boy Band Superstar

Wala ng singers ngayon. Talents are not being celebrated na. Basta gwapo/maganda ikaw ang in.

Start ng 2010s yan, tamad na mag compose ang ilang mga composers.

Dami nang variations ng remakes (these apply sa Filipino singers, sadly)

dapat gumawa ulit ng mga "original" songs that will mark in the history of OPM forever.

I saw a news bit before that a former maestro is now a beggar....

Those with talent are being shunned upon while those who look good are being worshipped.

To be fair, it's not a new phenomenon. Lots of great singers out there, but only a few stars. They have to be the complete package of talent(less important, it seems), looks and *** appeal. If you only needed talent to be a star, any one of those singing on mall karaoke machines would be a star. Me talent nga, mukha namang paa, hindi mo rin maibenta.

Yes. Agree that this is not new and a total package is a must.

But looks good with minimal talent has a better chance at being successful at the industry than those average looking but with superb talent.

Not in showbiz, but pretty and talented:

    AFAIK instrumentals are still autotune-safe

Si Martin, if you've watched him performed live, sobrang galing. Not just in singing but in performing/entertaining in general. He knows how to make landi with the audience. Si Jose Mari Chan din.

BTW, how does royalties work in the music industry? It goes with the composer di ba? Not with the performer? So sina Rey Valera, buhay na sila sa royalties?

What about eheads and the likes? Or other bands? So kanino napupunta royalties? Kay Ely ba? Or the whole band? Hati hati sila?

Kay bandit yung Trans Am. Iyon ang nagpasikat sa Trans Am way before KITT came along. Now I can imagine "Bandit" and Sheriff Buford T. Justice (Jackie Gleason) chasing each other up in the sky.

This guy really disappeared from the social network...

Business Partner Who Allegedly Deceived Kris Aquino is Nicko Falcis, Says Lolit SolisADOBO Today

The person who allegedly deceived Kris Aquino has been identified by Lolit Solis. True to her ‘pasabog’ style, Lolit said the business partner Kris Aquino was referring to in her posts is none other than Nicko Falcis.

Nicko Falcis handled some of Kris Aquino’s businesses and endorsement deals, particularly Nacho Bimby and Snail White. According to Aquino’s posts about the deception and financial humiliation she suffered recently, tens of millions of pesos are involved.

Though she did not name the business partner who allegedly deceived her, this was revealed by Lolit Solis a couple of days ago.

On the morning radio program hosted by Arnold Clavio, Joel Zobel and Ali Sotto on DZBB, the legal problem of a certain actress was discussed. They treated it as a blind item though Kris had already written about it on social media. As the discussion wore on, Lolit Solis phoned in and identified the actress as Kris Aquino. She then blurted out the name of the business partner who allegedly deceived her of her ‘tens of millions’ – Nicko Falcis.

Curiously, Falcis’ Instagram account has been disabled.

Kris Aquino nor her legal team has not confirmed Lolit Solis’ ‘revelation’. Nor has the camp of Nicko Falcis made any comment on the matter. As such, this remains an allegation.
