"Combat!" actor Dick Peabody wrote about guest star Robert Duvall:
When we were shooting the "Combat!" TV series in the '60s, we discovered that guest stars are not created equal — not equal in talent, not equal in intelligence and not equally amusing.
We spent a lot of time with these people — usually 10 hours a day for six days. That's how long it takes to shoot a one-hour TV show. We got to know them pretty well--at least those who weren't aloof or shy or otherwise unapproachable.
We invited some of them to join the "gang" comprised of Vic Morrow ("Sgt. Saunders"), Jack Hogan ("Kirby"), Pierre Jalbert ("Caje"), Frank Kowalski (our dialogue director) and myself ("Littlejohn").Source: "Combat!" website by Jo Davidsmeyer (old website in http, so not secure). The most stand-offish guest was Robert Duvall. He appeared in four or five shows but spent all of his time, when the camera wasn't rolling, running his lines behind the sets. None of us got to know him well enough to decide whether he was a good guy, a bad guy, or just unfriendly.
YouTubers Take Over Hollywood As 'Backrooms' And 'Obsession' Beat Star Wars | Forbes
by Tyler Chou
May 31, 2026
For the first time, two YouTube creators dominated a major box office weekend. The pipeline that produced them is about to produce many more.
This weekend, two films directed by twenty-something filmmakers who built their audiences on YouTube did something Hollywood has been refusing to admit was coming. They beat Star Wars. The films that opened this weekend are not anomalies. They are the leading edge of a structural change.
And will young filmmakers need to go to film school or are they going to experiment and incubate on YouTube? We all know the answer in teenagers hearts.
Shocking indeed!
I was just watching Parts Unknown the other night at Discovery Channel.

Catholic League: Anthony Bourdain Might Still Be Alive If He Had Found God – Friendly AtheistIf Anthony Bourdain had been a religious man, would he have killed himself? Probably not…
…
Bourdain was raised by his Catholic father and Jewish mother, though neither of them saw fit to raise him in any religion. In 2011, he said his views on religion were similar to those expressed by Christopher Hitchens, the British atheist. This is why the atheist organization, Freedom From Religion Foundation, was so proud of him
Casting logic aside and believing in God will not cure an addiction or prevent suicide. Being part of a tight-knit community, having a social support network, and having people to turn to in times of need can help. For some people, religion provides that. But it’s not the only option. An atheist group, a sorority, a sports team, a improv group, etc. can all serve those purposes.
God would not have solved Bourdain’s problems, whatever they were. Let’s not forget that studies have also shown how increased religiosity leads to higher rates of suicide for LGBTQ people, and the same holds true in different parts of the world.

What happened to our OPM artist like Jaya, Regine Velasquez, Martin Nivera, Gary V? Parang wala na akong naririnig na bagong songs from them?

Simple... young people nowadays won’t flock to buy records from veterans even if they are still miles better than the current crop of teenage heartthrobs (with a few spectacular exceptions like morissette).
Sadly, That’s just how it is.... image and looks play a big role even in the music industry.
AFAIK, singers earn more from concerts and tours.
Martin i think sings at casinos..not my generation pero i really like rico j..not a great singing voice but at entertaining he's up there with the best..ive seen gary v a few times live...his backup dancers are the ace up his sleeves..
