    MANILA, Philippines - A television director was seriously wounded after being stabbed several times by his male companion inside their rented house in Quezon City, before dawn today.

    Police identified the victim as Ricardo "Ricky" Rivero, a director of TV shows in ABS-CBN.
    Police Officer 3 Antonio Torente of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said Rivero was rushed to the Philippine Heart Center due to multiple stab wounds he sustained during the attack.

    The victim told the police investigator that he and his male companion, 22-year-old Allan Ivan Ruiz, had a fight last night inside their house in Barangay Pingkian.
    Rivero said he was already asleep and was roused around 3 a.m. when he felt Ruiz stabbing him with a knife.

    Radio reports said that the TV director's male companion had already left their rented house, but returned and attempted to clean the crime scene.

    Barangay officials and policemen caught the suspect inside the rented apartment.
    With about 10 stab wounds, he was still able to drive "his" car to the hospital (based on the flash report at UKG).

    I dont know. Akala ko nung una nilooban at pagnanakaw ang motibo. Twice na rin kasi kami nalooban sa apartment namin, nilimas yung mga gamit (electronics/ wallet) ng kalapit na unit, kaya inalam ko tong balita. Nangailan siguro yung suspek, pasukan na kasi ngayon (opinion ko lang).

    KALUNUS-lunos ang naganap kahapon ng madaling araw (June 13, 4:30 am) sa aktor/direktor ng ABS-CBN na si Ricky Rivero.
    Pinagsasaksak siya ng di-umano’y nahuli niyang nagnanakaw sa loob ng kanyang apartment sa may V. Luna,Quezong City.
    Ayon sa text sa akin ng ilang malalapit na kaibigan ng actor/director, 17 saksak sa iba’t ibang parte ng katawan ang tinamo ni Ricky Rivero.

    Mabuti na lang daw at malakas ang loob nito dahil nagawa pa nitong mag-drive patungong Heart Center. Agad naman daw dinala sa emergency room ng Heart Center ang actor/director kung saan, matapos mala-patan ng pang-unang lunas, dinala rin kaagad ito sa St. Lukes Hospital.

    Sa imbestigasyon ng mga pulis, tangkang pagnana-kaw ang naganap sa loob ng apartment ni Ricky Rivero. Agad namang nahuli ang suspect at nakilala lang ito sa pangalang alyas Luis.
