Chinese made cars like VWs(Shanghai-VW), Toyotas(Tianjin Toyota) and GM cars(Shanghai-GM) for example are acceptable.
Now chop chop knock-off cars, with stolen designs/technology is another story... sadly thats what Nexus(Great Wall) is.

These independent Chinese car companies should do what the Koreans did when they started out making cars.
They formed joint-ventures with foreign car companies and used ther designs/technology under license.

sarne was expressing his own honest opinion (which anyone can disagree with)... kung hindi matanggap ng owner ng nexus yan, i don't think they should deal with PR and media at all. kung talagang ayaw nila ng duda sa brand nila, then they should have launched Lexus, not Nexus.

Hey guys, remember that it's these Rodriguez guys who filed a court case in Pangasinan, and got some RTC judge there to issue arrest warrants against the top management of Porsche/Audi (in Germany). Really!! the German ambassador is pissed. It certainly is quite laughable, since when did a lowly Pinoy RTC judge have jurisdiction over foreign nationals in a civil case?

Just goes to show what a few bribes will do. You can get a judge to look completely clueless! It certainly didin't help APC's case kaya binigay sa PGA yung franchise nila by the pissed-off Germans.

I believe it was simply because APC wasn't putting out the necessary sales volume to placate the Germans.

About the Pangasinan case -- Audi and Proton were supposed to joint-venture an auto production plant in some town in Pangasinan. However with the 1997 Asian market crash, they got cold feet and decided not to invest. This enraged APC...

the same pa rin stand ko, I would like to drive it first before finalizing my statement about the car but meron naman din akong "initial impressions" that can change once I drove the car. Kaya mayrong "walk around impressions". For me, mas matimbang pa rin pag nadrive mo yung car.


Regarding the Nexus vehicles, I havnt seen it in flesh. I admit I doubted the quality of these vehicles since it comes from China but I really want to see one in order to end my curiousity. I somewhat felt traumatized when I saw the Geely HA1.0, which has a filing cabinet quality or should I say, below par quality so eversince Geely, mababa na tingin ko sa China Copycats/Pirated cars.
