naka bili na ako ng topgear sa "booksale"....para sa akin mas maganda pa din ang "C" compare to TopGear...
opinion ko lang...

same here..aliw lang ako kasi yung isang writer nila, si botchie santos, grad ng course ko..always love seeing his evo4 sa parking :drool:

hehe sorry po hero. oo nga pala magazine ang pinagccompare. um, never seen a top gear philippine pero i think mas ok ang top gear. kasi sa europe sobra ok ang top gear magazine nila. saan kayo nakakakuha nun? kasi sa national bookstore meron lang sila C! e.

medyo kalat na ang top gear sa mga magazine stalls ..

ive read na most articles.. yes i would agree that it needs improvement.. also as i said more pics and more useful review info like fuel consumption (bakit bihira isulat ito?), front and rear seating/ ride comfort, etc..

problem kasi sa atin dito is that the motoring industry is a very small world mas maliit pa sa showbiz kaya mahirap mag sabi ng negative comments about a product specially when they are treating you to freebies and all... kaya ayun puro parang puro press feed ang nakasulat... mga independent writers lang nakakagawa niyan like the motioncars boys when they started out but now that they are mainstream motoring journalists na..wala na..medyo nalagyan na ng "safety" yung edge nila...

hehe... sige try ko maghanap ng ganun magazine sa ibang bookstore. tama lahat ng sinabi mo. d nila sinasabi kung ano ang fuel consumption nila etc. tsaka compare ko lang sa tv, yung isang palabas na finifeature yung mga bagong sasakyan (i forgot the show) local lang, ang ginagwa is yung stroll lang then comment tapos lagi positive not like sa ibang bansa kung pangit, pangit talaga.hehe feeling ko mas ok kapag yung tipong sinisira talaga yung kotse para malaman kung ok talaga. sa magazine, ok naman ang C! pero parang may kulang pa e...

If you reside in Makati, you can buy one in Bufini. Kung sa QC, sa ali-mall.

sa booksale ali-mall mayrun. nakabili ako kagabi. maiden issue ito kaya expect more surprises and improvements. congrats to the Top Gear staff.

Top Gear is good, yes. The local content is competently written... at least as good or as bad as C!'s articles (yes, both mags have their low points). But until Top Gear Philippines prints full-blown comparos of local cars, I'm going to wait before proclaiming which is better.

I don't agree the only thing they've got over C! is the foreign content.
That and that the ed in chief is one of us, a die hard auto enthusiast with an open mind.
And considering the number of people on the staff, it sucks that quite a number of the reviews are written by one or two people only.

Send them your comments & suggestions, they'll appreciate it.
Btw, re the paper qulaity, what TGP used is actually more expensive then what C! uses.
It is almost exactly like what TGUK uses.
It's what gives TGP the feel of TGUK.

ah... but if you want foreign content, topgear is available for free online... and many of the written reviews echo the TV show and website.

I buy local mags first and foremost for the local content. I've become sick and tired of local mags that read like walking catalogs... (rev, T3, Gadgets, to name a few) ...without any in-depth motoring content.

Don't get me wrong, Top Gear is great, but...

Although it's nice to find out whether a porsche or a mercedes supercar is faster, what I want to know is whether my car is better than the altis sitting next to me at the stoplight or not... :D :D :D

FYI, I enjoyed the 600k comparo in this month's C!, as it is a subject dear to me... I am considering buying a 600k car.

I can read articles all day long about Euro-spec cars, but in the end, it won't help me much... (though I'll still enjoy it.)

The only magazine I buy every month is Car & Driver. Kahit medyo tatlong araw akong hindi kakain to afford it. hehehehe. Sana umabot din sa ganong calibre ang TGP.
