How would these ABS mediamen like to be treated? VIP in the face of a national security threat? Haven't you noticed the way these mediamen portray themselves in public? Nakapa ARROGANTE! I even remember a TV Patrol Segment where Doland Castro badmouthed policemen who did not give in to Doland's request that his cameraman (who was arrested for commiting a violation) be released impromto!

Not all media men are like these. But the likes of Maria Reesa, Korina, Pinky Webb, etc..are the rotten fruits in a basketful of healthy ones.

And havent you noticed the constant power struggle going on at ABS CBN especially at the news department? If they can't get their acts going, how can they discipline their ranks?

    Mga B*Bo

Did people see the news report by ABS-CBN interviewing the British ambassador and the head of the Makati Business Club?

The ABS-CBN news team made it sound like that these people were blaming the government's actions that day for causing loss of investor confidence -- when, in fact, they were blaming the disturbance cause by the armed idiots who walked out of the court.

Hey! Maria Ressa -- where's your journalistic integrity?? Should you not fire the newspeople involved for such blatant dishonesty? Or do your journalistic ethics not apply when it comes to you and your organization?

Can you please get rid of your hypocrisy?

kasama sa "plano" yung medya coverage in the first place sa walkout na yun.

sa totoo lang kung walang media to broadcast nationwide ay di lalakas ang loob ng mga yun.

sabi nila ginagawa lang nila ang trabaho nila "to let the people know"

eh to know what? para ipaalam sa buong pilipinas na ngayon na ang tamang panahon para pabagsakin ang administrasyon?

talagang ang media on that event ay naka-commit ng crime kaya dapat nga sana tinuloyan na silang arestuhin at ikulong imbes na proper ID lang.

The part that showed how media can be led like rats in a feeding frenzy was when Trillanes left the function room, went around the lobby without saying a word, then went up again. That scene was hilarious. Didn't those people realize how mababaw they looked? Nabasag pa yung mga table lamps sa lobby because they were practically stepping on each other just to get a "scoop" from that "Brat"...

Nagalit yung mga taga-pamilya dahil yung mga *STAR* reporters nila ang nahuli. Wa epek daw yung kalakasan ng istasyon nila din.

Media? I hardly sympathize with them. They were warned of the impending seige, some ignored it. If it happened that there were casualties from the media, they themselves are to blame.

What piques me is -- a lot of them are still whining about their so called "press freedom being trampled upon" for being arrested for a few hours. If I were the police, I will really line them up for questionning for possible connivance with the rebels. Anybody at the scene of a crime will have some explaining to do.

Objectivity -- during the live reporting, ABS-CBN practically attached themselves to the mouth of Trillanes and his band for most of the duration. I hardly saw them giving the side of the law enforcement people. One more thing, their reporters are mixing facts with their own opinions. I believe a media outfit should clearly differentiate facts from opinions.

Just as we accept that there are bad eggs in the government, our media is definitely not void of corrupted minds with hidden agenda.

Media interfere with police operation. Are they above the law?
