i watched the show last night (and the one of saturday also).

i am a believer in the filipino talent but parang sa tingin ko, the finalists (some) were not exceptionally good. i was thinking kasi na dapat all should be worldclass. kung baga good representatives of how the pinoy talents are.

medyo disappointed lang ako.

the winner is good. he sings really well. but is an "arnel pineda" sound alike.

Okay naman si Jovit.. although I was personally rooting for Ruther... although, I expected na na Ruther won't win... hindi kasi mainstream yung talent nya... niche market lang...

and from the point of view of ABSCBN... parang mas mahirap i-package yung talent kapag hindi mainstream... usually singing / dancing / acting... then best kung pwede mo gawan ng love team para maraming medium na puwede mo i-build up... meaning maximize din yung star potential and revenue potential....

yup, pinipili kasi nila yun pang "mainstream" para pwede nila i-market, alam mo naman ang ABS CBN eh.

saka i also noticed.....

parang gusto ng abs cbn ang mga physically not so attractive lately.

it started with bugoy (PDA). tapos si melai (at si jason).

siguro, they are good representatives of the majority of the masses???

tama ba ang iniisip ko?

tama ba ang iniisip ko?

nope, hinde sa gusto nila pero yun mga winners kasi eh mga underdogs, since padamihan ng text ang winners eh siyempre yun mahirap, pangit etc ang usually nanalo.

kaya nga I really don't like the idea na you will leave it to the audience kung sino ang mananalo sa isang contest, laging mga underdogs ang mananalo.

but who's to say na purely text votes from supporters outside of ABSCBN ang nag te text ng votes nila? you can pull out money (yung sources maybe hindi na mahalaga) and fund a text barrage in favor or against a certain candidate.. ang ino - audit lang naman ay kung tama ang bilang ng text di ba? at hind ikung saan galing yung mga text?

anyway.. so much for conspiracy theories... i would just think na for something as huge as that (malaking airtime, malaking exposure, malaking puhunan).. sometimes you'd want to be in control and not leave it to unknowns... now kung short term lang talaga ang habol nila (since most of the airtime naman is paid for due to sponsors).. i suppose okay lang...

and besides.. not everybody can make it naman talaga... look at PBB.. ilang seasons na... iilan lang yung talagang may staying power? sa teen edition.. illan lang ang may staying power din diba? pinaka malakas pa rin yung may puwedeng i-love team yung kanta pwedeng ituro at matutunan.. yung sayaw din... lalo na yung pag - arte

there is no text vote against, laging paramihan if you want to win then mag text ka ng marami sa bet mo.

yun contest na ganyan should have at least 3 groups to choose kung sino mananalo percentage na lang ang difference for example 40% kung sino mananalo sa text vote then 30% kung sino ang choice ng 3 judges then another 30% kung ano mang panel ang gusto nila. you can't leave it to the audience masyadong bias.
