Japanese **** industry extremely short on male actors, as many as 10,000 women against only 70 men

According to sales data, monthly sales of ****ography — commonly referred to as AV, or adult video — is around 4500 units, with nearly 10,000 women partaking in the action. Not so long ago, AV actresses were seen as women in need of money to get out of debt, but as of late more and more women are wanting to join the industry, not necessarily needing it.

On the other side of the coin however, there are shockingly only 70 AV ****o actors in Japan. On average 150 films are created daily, meaning that these tireless actors must perform in two to three shoots a day.

While it seems like a dream come true for some men, this is no easy feat for any person. Due to the wide reach of the internet, the adult video market reached a peak of sorts in 2003; men were wanting to become ****o actors, and the sudden influx of actors drastically lowered their salaries. At the same time movies were made at a faster pace, which spread budgets and schedules thinner than ever, increasing demand for professional actors that could deliver a high-level of ***ual technique and also work as a part of the film crew. A minimum of one monthly test for ***ually transmitted infections is also a requirement, acting as certification to differentiate them as a thoroughbred actor, to create a safe and relaxing experience.

Perhaps this news will spur a new generation of actors, but who’s up for it?
