Do you guys pay for one line lang tapos split it? Or pay for each TV set?

Is it illegal kung same house naman?

Good point. But on the other hand, mababa na naman talaga quality ng cable TV ngayon kasi ang dami nang illegal lines.

It's illegal to split the signal even if the other tv is in the same house, but.... hindi pa mahigpit ang mga cable provider sa mga ganyan. Ganito din gawa namin.

the downside, depending on how many parts/ways (2 way, 3 way split) you want to split the signal, and the distance of the television(s) from the splitter, the reception will suffer. But.... you can always get a high quality splitter, huwag yung mga nabibili lang sa mga tabi-tabi na hardware.

And if you're going to split it 3-ways, use a 2 way splitter, then pagawa ka ng cable na may T-splitter (paki korek na lang kung mali) sa dulo to lessen the loss of signal.

AFAIK everytime you split the signal of the Cable TV, the reception suffers, unless you have an amplifier.

yup. but if you compare the signal of a directly connected cable sa poste compared to a splitted one, medyo noticable and difference.

its like comparing a local network. yung PC na directly connected sa switch/hub transmits data faster than one which is connected to a hub, which is connected to a hub. sa data nga lang, medyo unnoticable, pero if you analyze the packets, just the same, may konting lag.

err. its because, you are paying for one is to one connection.
parang OEM ng software. one installation for one license.

Sa skycable P50 ang additional extension per TV i just dont know price schme ngayon. If your extension is not declared lalabo reception kasi calibrated yun signal for 1 tv only. Pero hindi ka naman kakasohan kung sa loob lang ng sarili mong bahay ang extention pero kung outside of your household say your neighbor ibang usapan na yan. Yun mga infested area ng skycable they are upgrading the system by using decoder box per TV unit. Without the box maski kumabit ka sa cable wala signal.

Dati naka sky cable kami pero pinaputol ko na dahil may satellite receiver na ako kaya libre ang DreamTv..pati yun mga free to air channels galing sa ibang bansa.

Meron pong 'slicing cable tv' thread dito sa Tsikot. Use the search function na lang. Laking tulong para mga DIY na nag-split ng cable. Yung signal booster na ni-recommend ng Tsikoteers talagang gumagana!

Yung addressable box pwede mo pa din yata lagyan ng splitter yung output line niya. The addressable box only discourages people from climbing up the post and connecting the cable. Pero kung sa bahay mo ay 3 ang TV at isa lang ang box, gagana pa din. Paki-correct na lang kung mali ang info na nasagap ko.

sa amin, cable guy na magkakabit ng line pero i-charge sa bill mo yung gamit. pwede kahit madaming tv pero may addlt charge of 20petot/month for extra tv..
