RIP Paul Walker....
Best buds... :{
Tyrese Gibson (aka Roman Pearce) weeps as he pays tribute to friend Paul Walker at the site of the latter's fatal car accident.
Saw this on FB.
and from another forumCraig Stachewicz
I met paul at the Honolulu airport in 2002.
I had no idea who he was but he noticed me sitting alone in the airport bar. I am in the military and I looked like it. I had a short haircut and had a bag that was green.
He asked to sit down next to me and asked about me and thanked me for my service. He bought me a beer and I had no idea who I wsd talking to. Until several people asked quietly for his autograph. ..he did so without any inconvenience to him. After a few of these interruptions of us talking I asked him if he was famous or something. He looked at me and said well not really but I did a few movies. He mentioned them and it hit me...wow this is the guy from varsity blues and skulls.
He said nothing of being famous but he wanted to know about me and that he so badly wanted to be in the soldiers we once were young... he said he would have done it for free. He just wanted to thank the vet and playing a vet is a way he could do it.
Anyway we talked for about 45 minutes and he had to board his plane. He was a hell of a nice dude.
Thx for your service paul.
RIP
"When you put good will out there it's amazing what can be accomplished." - Paul Walker, Reach Out WorldWide Founder
Paul Walker took a simple idea and made it a reality by creating Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW). Four years later Reach Out WorldWide has evolved into something special.
Reach Out WorldWide is a network of professionals with first responder skills, including doctors, nurses, firefighters, paramedics, construction specialists, heavy equipment operators, and other disaster-survival specialists, who understand that a fast response makes the difference between life and death. These professionals have put their “boots on the ground” domestically and worldwide, to immediately fulfill the unmet need in times of chaos, tragedy, and destruction.
“Paul wasn’t someone who would just write a check and lend his name to an organization; he was the heart and soul of Reach Out WorldWide. Paul was the first one in and the last one out, he led by example and his hard work and dedication inspired everyone who had the privilege of working with him. He led one of the first teams into the hardest hit areas of Haiti and traveled to Chili to bring water, medical aid and hope after the Earthquake and Tsunami. He ran a chainsaw clearing debris and helping people get back into their homes during the hottest days after the tornadoes in Alabama… Some people play a hero, Paul was a hero. Paul was an honorable, hardworking, dedicated, respectful man with a humble spirit who shared his blessings with those who needed it most. It was an honor and a privilege to be able to work with, learn and look up to someone who walked the walk.” - JD Dorfman, Reach Out Worldwide
Paul Walker was truly an amazing person and his impact will be forever felt. As the ROWW family mourns the loss of our founder, leader, brother and friend we pledge to carry out his dream of helping those when they need it most. Paul's legacy and good will lives on through ROWW.

Saturday morning, I was driving northbound on the 5 freeway when I encountered a huge pileup somewhere in Arleta. There were 14 vehicles involved in that mess and I’m pretty sure someone got seriously hurt. I was on my way to Newhall (which is close to the city of Valencia) to renew my club membership with Oak Tree and have fun at the firing range.
In the afternoon, news flashed that Paul Walker died in a road accident and I immediately thought he might be one of those who were in that incident earlier. Later, I soon learned that he died in Valencia.
I’m very familiar with the place where he crashed since we have an office there just within city limits. In fact, there is a fire station not very far from the crash site. The place where he died is an industrial area and on the weekend it is desolate. I would not be surprised if the place is being used by people to play with their fancy rides.
Rest in Peace Paul Walker.
From TMZ. CCTV caught the initial impact.
