i have more than 2 years na
Picture Quality and Sound Q, average lang.
890 a month ang bayad ko dati 790 lang nagdagdag sila ng discovery channel, travel discovery at Animal planet kaya naging 890 me PPV rin at games.
Cons is pag malakas ang ulan madalas nawawala ang reception or pixelated na.
meron kaming dream dito sa office, quality is just average, mas malinaw pa rin ang cable.
advantage lang nya if no cable is available and if the cable company charges more than the dream package....other than that same or sometimes inferior din eto.
Say, like EPG, subtitling, Auto-Parental Control, etc.?
ay... 1 decoder 1 tv lang... kala ko pa naman pwedeng 2 or more...
ill stick with my cable muna...![]()
ang nakikita ko lang advantage ng dream tv over your regular cable tv ay yung parentaal control to block channels and certain shows (based on rating). very handy if you'll be away and kids will be left home.
mas magastos pala yan kasi 1 tv=1 decoder...
kakapikon lang kasi sa sky cable... ang panget ng service... ilang beses na ako nag complain about the reception na malabo, walang ginagawa, di man lang pinupuntahan. nung dati nasabitan ng truck yung cable, almost a week bago pinuntahan at kinabit, pero di nila binawas sa bill yung ilan days na wala kami cable.
so either i go back to destiny or go dream tv... hay
1 pa advantage is may information ka on the programming. Alam mo kung up to what time yung pinapanood mo and kung ano yung susunod na program.
Merong Pay-Per-View ang Dream? If so, is the decoder box connected to the phone line?
medyo magulo ang channels ng Dream ngayon. kagaya nung Formoso TV, hindi naman Formaso yung lumalabas. tapos yung Bloomberg pa yata, iba din.
meron PPV ang Dream and hindi ito connected sa phone line. don't know how to pay for the PPV, di ko pa nasubukan. via prepaid card din siguro.

If you want to watch something, you call them up, then ... ? Do they give you a code to input? Just interested on how they do the PPV billing. Cheers.Originally Posted by qman
when you call them up maraming tanong like decoder nos etc.Originally Posted by StraightSix
Inenroll ko credit card ko sa kanila this year lang hassle kasi para sakin ang prepaid. Pag nag subscribe ako sa PPV charge nila credit card ko.
Don't know sa mga prepaid subscriber though
yong receiver ko meron tel port...
pero does'nt make sense kung nasa bundok ka...nevertherless, dream did'nt utilize it.
PPV: hirap kumontak noong laban ni pacman
If you are in Metro Manila or most of Northern Luzon but have CATV coverage, stick with CATV.
If you are south of Luzon down to Mindanao (where there are less probability of typhoons and heavy rains), and you don't like your CATV operator, get Dream.
If you don't have CATV coverage, get Dream.
Mind you that the service is quite expensive than regular CATV. You can use one dish if you have more than one TV but you need a decoder for each TV, meaning you need to pay them the P800+ monthly x number of TVs. Mahal din noh?
BTW, each decoder uses a Smart Card (similar to a full-sized SIM card that you use on your GSM cellphone).
