I have gathered 100 respondents and am currently tallying the results of my survey as I was going through the questionnaires I remembered all those people who helped me in this survey and those who participated I would like to thank all of you for being so cooperative Not all of the respondents are from Tsikot, there are others from other forums and people I met in person who answered the hard copies, but still I would like to thank my fellow tsikoteer here for being so helpful Thanks kuya Jedi for deeming my survey interesting and worth answering. Hopefully reports like these (even if it would just be for schoOl) will help us understand why our streets are like this today,and hopefully open up forums like ours to public discourse.

Republic Act 53 or the Sotto Law that protects the publisher,editor, columnist or duly accredited reporter of any newspaper, magazine or periodical of general circulation from being compelled to reveal their sources.
The Sotto Law, also known as the Press Freedom Law, is aimed precisely to protect press freedom and keep irate politicians from intimidating journalists and their sources.
Protection of confidential sources of information is also an obligation of the journalists and it is key to getting informants to come forward. This is particularly important in uncovering, among others, corruption in government.


Iam now working on my people and paper trail. I was told by a veteran IR reporter that for investigative reports 10-20 respondents are enough to establish a fact, since this is not a research survey but an IR. I chose to take the longer path so I can establish stronger proof and hopefully be more convincing although I almost cried my eyes out trying to finish this.

The initial results reveal that more or less 80% of drivers in the survey did not take either the written/practical examinations, were given the answers to the examination questions or did not take any form of examinations whatsoever.
Ofcourse this is not yet final as Iam still working on it. But I hope this will give us a picture since there are those who were asking for the results.

It is interesting to note that even those who did not take the examinations did not like what happened and were willing to step up to share his/her story, showing that we all want change and we might have made mistakes when we first applied for the our licenses but we don't want these things to continue.
