Waiting for Star Trek Into Darkness showing in the next couple of days...
The 12th installment....
True blue Trekkies would not like the story..... I think.....

Well, I chanced upon (and attended) the Trek Convention in Las Vegas in 2010. I believe this is a year after the release of Star Trek, where Chris Pine portrayed the role of Capt. James T. Kirk. The hard core notion there is that they were amused of the way Chris portrayed the role (ala William Shatner), but were not totally sold on how Zachary Quinto portrayed the role of Mr. Spock.... Anyway, they could not accept that Vulcan was totally destroyed as the planet and its people are integral parts of the Star Trek story....
Anyway, I reviewed the story of this 12th installment.... IMO, it will not sync well with the Trekkies...
The way that Kirk died here,- it was similar to the way Spock died in one of the movies,- and revived by the Genesis Project... However, Spock's body should be a lot stronger to withstand radiation than Kirk's

OT: It did not dawn on me in 2010, but those who were in the convention were ribbing each other by calling him/her "peanuts",- pronounced as "pi nuts", and I thought then that it was the thwang or accent...
I was watching Ellen DeGeneres Show a while ago with Chris Pine (Capt James T. Kirk in this movie), and he admitted that his fans were calling themselves "Pine Nuts"...
I guess the group that I chanced upon that day were still die hard (old) "William Shatner" fans.....
