May 15th, 2013 11:14 AM #127Well, I chanced upon (and attended) the Trek Convention in Las Vegas in 2010. I believe this is a year after the release of Star Trek, where Chris Pine portrayed the role of Capt. James T. Kirk. The hard core notion there is that they were amused of the way Chris portrayed the role (ala William Shatner), but were not totally sold on how Zachary Quinto portrayed the role of Mr. Spock.... Anyway, they could not accept that Vulcan was totally destroyed as the planet and its people are integral parts of the Star Trek story.... Originally Posted by roninblade

The way that Kirk died here,- it was similar to the way Spock died in one of the movies,- and revived by the Genesis Project... However, Spock's body should be a lot stronger to withstand radiation than Kirk's
