Singapore doesn't plant tress from scratch... If a plant/tree dies, they just replace it with a new one.

Manila seedling lot wasn't sold and isn't for sale. City goverment may-ari nito.

yung sa inquirer columnist, the late neal cruz ilan article ginawa jan. No need for another makati inside metro manila. Nakakasira ng residential living yan.

not really... as there are alot of polution on nearby countries like Indonesia, specially when it is the season of kaingin. it blows all the way to SG, unfortunately walang magawa ang SG kung hinde mag file ng diplomatic protest pero wala din nangyayari/

But i agree, when a plant/tree dies, kinabukasan may kapalit na. tapos twing gabi may mga water truck na nag didilig sa mga plants, pag mahaba na branch meron din tree pruning activities.

it will not work in Pinas, dahil sasabihin ng mga mahihirap yun pera pang maintain ng puno ibigay dapat sa mga mahihirap. yun mga matitinong park na may puno tatanggalin yun puno para palitan ng shopping malls or food cart. basta pagkakakitaan walang nature nature sa mga pulitiko na yan pero pag nangangampanya kesyo mo maka earth at kalikasan kuno.

But singaporeans are hypocrites when it comes to the smoke billowing from malaysia and indonesia. They complain of the smoke but they trade the stocks of those PALM OIL plantations and processors in the singapore stock exchange, and deal in palm oil futures. Kung talagang ayaw nila ng haze from their neighbors then they should ban the trading of those companies and palm oil futures in their stock and futures markets. And ban all products with palm oil alltogether, including the entry into their ports of transhipped palm oil products.

Kaso, as everywhere, pera lang katapat.

    "money."
    lots of it.
    and they have it.
    the garden city.
they also limit the cars in their part of the world. "why drive, when you can take effective public transpo?"
and they exact heavy fines on chewing gum litterers.
