heard about the upcoming royce gracie-matt hughes match in may?
royce was a legend in his "own" era, undefeated and has beaten bigger guys such as shamrock, severn, kimo..etc. with his ,then , unbeatable "brazilian jiujitsu" groundfighting style....but nowadays guys like hughes are very well-rounded...can go on ground and up striking as well, which i doubt royce is capable in doing now....only IMO.

royce was beaten by a japanese guy right?...he's the most feared juitsu fighter in his time but he's probably old by now..kaya medyo tagilid sya kung bata yung kalaban nya.

and he is pretty old while matt hughes is a very very strong and very well rounded fighter

parang ken shamrock vs rich franklin. nadulas si shamrock, franklin saw the opening and pounded him.

Saku fan ako! Kahit na 3 times siyang ginulpi ni Wandy, hehe... Gusto ko kalabanin niya si Rich Franklin and Frank Shamrock who, by the way, would fight Cesar Gracie soon.

I'd want to see Royce win, but I doubt it considering na si Matt Hughes ang kalaban niya.. if only Royce can be as strong as BJ Penn, maybe he can pull off a choke. And knowing Royce, he will fight only when the rules are in his favor. Should the fight go the distance, which I highly doubt considering Matt is the opponent, it will be a draw.

Favorite kong panoorin ang UFC and PrideFC. Some of my favorites: Sakuraba, Tito Ortiz, Wanderlei Silva, Royce Gracie, Ken Shamrock, Carlos Newton, Pat Miletich at marami pang iba.

By the way, may nabibilhan bang UFC or PrideFC videos dito sa atin? Nakakainis na kasi sa Solar, puro replay e mga luma pa pinapakita. Sa ufc.tv na lang kasi ako nakakakuha ng update.

Si Matt Hughes, napanood ko lang nung tinalo nya si Carlos Newton ng dalawang beses.

Si Royce naman dun sa rematch sa hapon na controversial ang pagkapanalo sa kanya. If I remember it right, nagtanggal ng gi si Royce non, pero draw ang laban.

don't get me wrong though. Gracie is a great fighter in his own right. sabihin mo na na di exciting ung mga laban nya, he still got the job done.

Tito is afraid of strikes especially from the Iceman, Lidell's looping hooks KO'd Couture twice, the last one into retirement.

Retired or not, idol pa rin talaga si Randy Couture. BTW OT, has anyone seen the vid where he choked out a girl into near unconciousness just for fun? Crazy...

Much respect for Royce but hes way past his prime, he is going to get murdered by Hughes. I dont know if youve seen Ufc 58 but Gsp just beat Bj PEnn so winner of the match between hughes/royce will face Georges St. Pierre who I think is going to be champion soon in the UFC. Im a big fight fan and watch pride, k1 and ufc and boxing!!!
