ABS-CBN is trying to remove videos against wowowee from youtube?

Few weeks ago, umunit ang balita about the wowowee fiasco, kumalat sa internet, sa youtubee at blogs ang videos. there are videos of the actual segement sa wowowee, a video of willie revillame crying and video from joey de leon.

pag may ganitong balita sa pinas, karamihan pinoys are uploading copies of these video para mashare sa ibang tao, lalo na sa mga nasa abroad at hindi nakapanuod.

during that time na mainit pa ang willie vs joey de leon scene... nagkataon na narecord namin yung mismong pagsasalita ni joey sa eat bulaga (gma 7). First time na ginawa yun para lang maishare sa ibang tao...

Suddenly, my brother received a notification from youtube that the video footage of joey de leon was removed because of copyright infringement... ang nakakagulat... hindi GMA7 network ang nagpatanggal... it was ABS-CBN network... bakit ganun? the video is not from abs-cbn, it was copied from GMA7 show eat bulaga... now we discovered na madami ng nadelete na videos about the wowowee fiasco... pati yung mga footage from gma7.

I know there is a risk in sharing videos that you do not own... but youtube is hosting several videos na may copyright... clips from tv shows, commercials, movie trailers etc etc... not only that... madami din videos about abs cbn and gma7 shows sa youtube, like clips ng mga telenovela, tv shows, tv contest etc, even footage ng mga stars of abs-cbn at gma7. Bakit yung mga videos na yun na favorable sa ABS-cbn eh hindi pinapaalis... at ang pinatanggal lang eh yung mga videos about wowowee... pati yung video from gma7 pinaalis nila.

try searching for wowowee, willie revillame, joey de leon or any related keyword sa wowowee sa youtube, you'll notice na nabura na yung karamihan.

Ok lang sana kung gma7 ang nagpadelete ng video kasi sa kanila naman nacopy ang footage... but for abs-cbn to ask for its deletion kahit hindi sila ang may-ari ng video pwede ba yun?

They own the footage... they can do that.

hehehe. guilty ang ABS-CBN? nagbabakasakali siguro sila na mabura nila lahat ng video footage para walang evidence. hehehe

yes they own some of the footage, but the footage from gma7 (eat bulaga) hindi sila ang may-ari and yet sila ang nagclaim ng copyright infringement para madelete pati mga footage from eatbulaga

it pretty obvious that ABS is crossing the line. i wonder what would be the reaction of GMA regarding this matter. kung ako naman sa GMA, i'll keep on posting the videos everytime nadedelete. :evillaugh

but still, it's like trying to kill a Hydra.

even if they go after youtube, its bound to sprout out somewhere (metacafe...) heck, i wouldn't be surprised if this would pop up again in youtube in a couple of weeks.

baka naman nagpanggap sila na taga-gma7 kaya napaalis nilang yung mga footage from gma7... hay naku halatang guilty!

Nangyari na rin yan before sa YouTube. Uri Geller, the fake telekinetic, demanded na i-pull out ng YouTube yung isang video na huling huli syang nandadaya. Hindi naman siya ang may-ari ng copyright, pero sabi niya siya raw, kaya tinanggal ng YouTube. Eventually, binalik ulit, kasi nalaman nga na hindi siya yung owner
