It's unfair to compare local TV Shows/Films to international TV Shows/Films which are made for a global audience.

There are also foreign TV Shows/Films which are made to cater to their local market and some may be worse than what we have.

Although I must admit that the number of local films with quality have been going down.

I can't blame the writers, directors and actors.

There's commercial pressure to perform well, ROI must be quick and costs must be kept low...

Theres no one else to blame on the current situation of our country... The movie/television industry to say the least... theres no one else to blame but the people who patronize such poor quality... we should demand better...

Thanks god for the filipino indie films... thats a start...

The French narrator in SpongeBob SquarePants is based on Jacques Cousteau.

Can't remember the last time I watched a filipino series or movie because I find them so repetitive and sorry for the term, corny.

    i wouldn't know.
my last filipino movies were fpj's sierra madre secret and the original pedro penduko.
i got turned off by the grainy quality of the film, got up and never looked back.
perhaps it is time to go back...
