    Hi all,

I am overdue for an engine oil and ATF change for my Mazda3 BM, and I'm planning in having this done outside casa (too expensive). Any recommendations preferably in Manila or Makati?

    Thanks in advance.

I buy parts from them however the mechanics for hire does not inspire confidence, experienced leak last time I had an oil change, loose thread.

Just do drain & fill. Strictly Mazda FZ Fluid. Around 4ish liters per. I did mine twice w/ a few days of road time in between.

Mine was out of curiosity..No trouble symptoms whatsoever...50k, could've been too early. Strainer & all internals were clean. Fluid was darker, of course. No observed change in transmission temp nor drive pre & post fluid change.
I'd say between 80-100k kms would be a good interval....not the Skyactiv lifetime fluid claim.[emoji4]

Oh....Again, ONLY USE Mazda FZ A/T Fluid for all Skyactiv A/Ts.

The japanese meaning of lifetime (in terms of car life), as some of us would interpret here, is only 5 years...

Another hobo option is Mazford along Visayas ave QC. I prefer this shop than their main branch at Banawe.

Powertorq is also another good option for an oil change service. The head mechanic is very easy to talk with. He would even give recommendations where to buy the spare parts (usually Mazford along Visayas ave).

Not good experience with these guys. Had an ATF dialysis done. They forgot to put back the engine cover after. Had to drive back to get it.

i think he prefers to drain and replace, instead of dialysis, because of the cost.

No not the cost but because it will cause serious damage to the transmission if flush that is what he said.

Dialysis is unnecessary, drain and fill has always been the norm and transmissions lasted 300k+ km without hiccups. Just do it regularly.

Not sure on his thoughts of having clean fluid causing slippage if you haven't replaced ATF in a long time.

sa kia picanto ko i changed ATF at 40k kms.. just regular drain and fill. then used the car for 1k kms then drain and fill again. then changed again at 45k kms. balik na sa reddish yung ATF.. hehe

ganun din sa altis ko.. kahit nakalagay na "lifetime" yung ATF need talaga mag palit.. kasi nagiging brown talaga
