A few scratches here and there, caused by cats. It's not visible, but everything is "visible to me".

Any suggestions on how to discourage these cats, aside from taking them out of your home? I tried this already but sooner or later, another stray cat will start to appear and live with us. Well, our neighbors feed the cats and these cats live with us. Why these cats live with us is a mystery. Perhaps they know we have a dog and they want to tease our dog.

You're not alone. Mine are visible from a mile. Doesn't dampen the excitement 1 bit.[emoji4]

I saw this brand "Back Off" and I tried it a couple of years ago. It's effective as a dog and cat repellent. However, it's intended for training your pet. For example, if your pet frequently sits on your sofas then you spray it on and your pet won't go near it. Use it frequently until your pet "gets the message".

If I were to use this for cars, it will be very expensive... as I will be "training" the whole neighborhood's cats.

Not only that....when you startle em while napping on the bonnet or roof....expect even worse scratches.[emoji24]

I guess I have no choice but go to the old fashioned way of "wrapping up" the car... wherein most likely won't happen for me.

The issue is you could only ensure a scratch-less process if both your car and car cover are both clean, which most of the time are not possible. Konting labas mo lang sa garahe, maalikabok o putikan na agad.

At the very least, I have avoided the "cat signatures"... but then as I've said I don't think I can do it with the old fashioned way.

Thank you for your reminder, I'll keep this in mind. I usually clean the car every evening but I don't wrap it.

Spray some water with eucalyptus or peppermint oil mixed with it around the vicinity of your car. Cats hate the smell. That's how I got cats to stay away from my car. You have to do it everyday or night though.

I'll give this a try, eucalyptus oil combined with peppermints. I don't mind doing this every night if it is effective.

Either eucalyptus or peppermint scented oil, mga 10 drops mixed with water in a plastic sprayer. The area should be 1 to 1.5 ft away from the car, specially the front. If too near the cats could still jump up the hood.

I can't believe it... for two consecutive nights I wrapped up the car. Well, I can't afford to have this car suffer the same fate of my CR-V 98. Perhaps I'll see if I can manage to continue this until I find this eucalyptus oil.

Finally, I made a permanent connection with the CTEK charger. All the wires are around the place and the hood is closed. No worries that I'll ever forget those wires and charger since the car is wrapped up.

I buy eucalyptus oil at SM dep't store. Look for it at the scented candle section.

I just checked the bottle, pot pourri ang brand.

No eucalyptus, no peppermint... but sugar lemon. I do hope this scent will work. I just realized, a bottle cost 400 and I remember that "Back Off" was also 400. However, I just can't find this brand so I really hope this one will work.

Thank you. I told my wife about it and she said she knows where is it.

Yesterday was the first time I played my ever familiar music of Kenny G (Baby G and others) in my car. I've been listening to FM all the time (98.7 classical music and 105.1). I'm so satisfied with the quality of music, considering that it is in mp3 format. One day I'll try a CD quality music but definitely, this will sound good. Eleven point speakers vs my nine speakers on CR-V 98, I never thought I'll hear the difference. Or perhaps I'm just being "conditioned" that "new" is always better?

Yes, quiet indeed. You can actually "feel" the speed with my old CR-V but not with the new Mazda
