April 9th, 2009 06:15 PM #1Guys would like to ask something. I'm about to buy a 2nd hand Mazda3 1.6V. Dec 04 siya nabili ng previous owner. Kaso my dad-in-law doesn't want us to buy it. Me "suspension issues" daw yung version 1 ng mazda3. Kakalampagin lang daw ako pagtagal. He knows someone else selling an '07 mazda3. Siempre higher price. At naayos na daw yung suspension issue na yun sa version 2. Pero nung tinest drive ko ng high speed yung '04 na mazda3 sobrang "tight" pa yung ride niya e. Kaya inclined pa din ako bilin yung '04 mazda.
Hope you mazda3 owners out there can shed some light on this. Are the suspensions of the version 1 and version 2 mazda3's really that different?

April 12th, 2009 01:38 PM #2sorry i'm not an MZ3 owner... pero what i read before was...there was a small number of owners who complained of some suspension noise issue...and i think Mazda Philippines fixed them with a newer(thicker) shock tower rubber. its no biggie. what's important IMO is the condition of the car that u drove....kung after (over) 3years eh magandang maganda pa sya...then i think that bodes for how the car holds up so well with age.
anyway i think u can get more info. fm. Mazda owners in the Philippines with their website below....

April 14th, 2009 12:13 PM #3yes and most of them (lalo na yung mga v1) have. pero yung ibang tao di lang napapansin kasi kuntento naman sila sa performance ng suspensions nila. yung naaalala ko dati sa iba was matigas daw kumbaga parang sa fortuner yung iba nagsasabi matagtag daw while yung iba happy naman. meron din ako nabasa sa ibang thread dito nakakasira naman daw agad ng shocks ng m3 niya mga lubak lubak na daanan sa kanila. its just a personal matter i think.. and yeah im not an m3 owner too

bro salamat info on the sites. i checked them and found out na talagang may mga nasisiraan ng suspension ng cars nila. i already bought the car and diko pa naman nararamdaman/naririnig yung mga observations nila. i guess swerte ako at maayos gumamit ng car yung previous owner. research research na lang muna ko for now para alam ko gagawin pag nagkaproblem. again, thanks a lot!

v1 pa naman ang nabili ko. but so far kung usapang performance ng suspensions e ok naman. di naman matigas at di din matagtag. medyo maingat nga lang ako sa pagdrive dahel 3 and 1/2 yrs na din yung car tapos madalas pako dumaan sa buong SLEX. not like nung naka SUV wala ko masyadong caution sa hump, unevenness o sa lubak ng daan. anyway, thanks for the heads up bro.

ser "jadenriley" tama ka. ang pagiingat sa pag-drive lalo na kung anong klaseng daan and speed goes a long way to the health of your car. like in mycase. yung ESi ko, even after 14years, ang napalitan ko lang sa Suspension system nya yung shock absorber (dahil fluid leak). yung mga bushings, stabilizer links, etc, etc. ay lahat buo pa...
