kelan kya lalabas yang mazdaspeed d2?? anyone?
not sure. baka nga hindi. kahit 6MT na 2.0li with SVT lang eh masaya na ko!
yup. malabo dumating yan dito, if ever, dressed up lang lumabas (bodykits, rims, etc)
The 5-cylinder 2.5L turbocharged Volvo engine found in some Ford/Volvo cars should be offered in the Mazda 3! I love that deep bellow coming out of that engine.

as to the anticipated torque-steer from a 250hp+ FWD car, here's what they have to say:
And after just five minutes in the car, any doubts we had about dubious traction levels under power or torque-steer problems dissolved instantly. As a top priority on the R&D team's list, engineers have not only reinforced the driveshaft, but have also fitted a specially tuned torque-sensing super limited-slip differential. And when called on to control overzealous right boots, Mazda's Dynamic Stability Control intervenes without interfering in the fun.
In addition to extra reinforcement around the floor and center tunnel and across the strut towers, beefier spring rates and thicker stabilizers allow the Mazdaspeed to corner faster and flatter than anything in its class. Initially, steering is heavy on turn-in, but then progressive and always perfectly weighted. You get all the feedback you need and none of the understeer you dread.

i think after reading this, the Civic Si will suck compared with this Mazda Speed....
The Ford Focus 2.0L suffers from torque steer ... at least that is what I experienced when I test drove it.
Yeah... so does my Lynx... but it's amazing what a properly tuned LSD can do for any car. I've been looking at LSDs for the RS, but the prices are just...![]()
It's the same solution used on the Mazdaspeed Protege, the Civic Si, and the previous Focus RS (word is, the RS's reputation for being a handful is from press units having a different LSD from production units, which actually drove much better).
Now all Mazda needs to do is bring that in here... as a Sedan. Imagine, a Mazda WRX fighter![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
other than the LSD, i think the trick part in eliminating the Torque steer was having a logic that decides whether to add power or not that depends on Steering Angle position and current speed. saan ba merong nag bebenta ng LSD sa 'tin? and what kind ? mechanical/clutch torque sensing/ helical LSD?Originally Posted by niky
There's a QUAIFE torque-sensing differential for the RS/Mazda Protege 2.0... here:

The OEM one is mechanical, and reputed to be fragile... meaning just thirty thousand miles of hard driving will kill it... on a turbo car, but for our cars, it might last quite a while, and it's a bargain at the price.
Still, the best solution is the QUAIFE. Most everyone who's installed one has nothing but praise for it.

i'm using mazda3 1.6L right now pero katulad ng iba ang pakiramdam ko nga ay underpowered advisable ba na magpa-turbocharge ako ? or possible ba na i-turbocharge ang mazda3 na matic? assuming na pwede saan at magkano magagasta ko ? or may iba pa bang paraan para mapalakas ko power ng M3 ko ? salamat po mga bossing sa maitutulong ninyo.

try going to reputable tuning shops for that. i recommend fusion R at e rodriguez or Spool in project 4
Like m2 said... it makes more sense to trade in your 1.6 for a similar year 2.0.
The turbo will void your warranty.
The installation can be cheap (50k+) or expensive (200k+), as you like it, but balancing your Air/Fuel mixture will cost you. You'll need an air-fuel controller or a piggyback ECU, and dyno tuning (to ensure you get the most power without blowing up your engine) will cost you a lot of money.
A cheap install may blow up your engine. A poorly tuned expensive install may do the same thing also.
Also note that your AT may not be strong enough for high-powered applications, so you're best off holding peak power at 150-170hp.
All-in, if you want to be sure not to blow up your car? Budget 100-150k.
For that much, you could trade in your 1.6 for a secondhand 2.0 of the same year... which would give you more kit, a sunroof, better mags and skirts.Like m2 said... it's not worth ruining a brand new car that's still under warranty.

thanks mga bossing. now i will consider very seriously selling my mz3 1.6 and buy a 2.0L. talagang di ako masaya sa power ng mz3 1.6 pero talagang impress ako sa itsura ng mz3. i can't undestand bakit gumawa mazda ng ganoong engine (1.6) na very less ang power compared to other brands of the same displacement.
bakit di mo na lang tapusin ang warranty tapos palit ka na lang ng 2.3L engine with turbo? samahan mo na rin ng manual gearbox...
The Mazda 1.6 isn't really underpowered, per se... it's just too heavy for the engine.
