FC Update

I got an average of 13.9 Km/l in my last 2 full tank fills. Im already In my 5th fill. the first 2 fills, i was only averaging around 10.25, then it went up to the lower 13s on the 3rd fill. I think it's still improving, i think i could get to 14 km/l this time. My route is paranaque-makati, but i only drive at night and mornings kasi wala pa plate, so traffic is light. But i think the FC is still impressive as it is. I really like the handling of the car. I think i need to have my hand break checked though, kelangan kasi siya iangat ng sobra para mag stick lalo na pag paakyat. Also the cig lighter doesnt work.

Plano ko pala palitan yung halogen head light kasi masyado mahina, lalo na pag gabi. Meron akong mga nakikita HID sa sulit na mejo mura, okay lang ba yun?

2nd full tank: 29.28 liters

FE (KM/L) 10.25/L


I guess the FE is okay but not as impressive as the one reported by the owner from cebu who have the same unit. Altho it could have been better had i not spent some mornings in the garage with the car idling. Im hopeful the FE will improve once i check it on my 3rd fill. I'd like the FE to go up around the 13s when it hits it's 5k km.

I'm from cebu that you talkin about the Fuel consumption.
My fuel consumption has changed from 13.5km/liter down to 11km/liter pure city driving. My odometer reads 4500km. I changed my driving habit from soft ( normal ) to slightly hard driving.

sir jdeveyra, I had a similar problem with the cigarette lighter of our 1 day old mazda 2... pa check mo yung fuse ng cig lighter mo. ours was busted from the onset (dunno if this is a factory defect or or a public health message ). Pinalitan lang oks na sya ulit.

regarding the HIDs, HIDs on stock housings will annoy and blind incoming motorists... It should have projectors for proper (and more effective) light throw. sir garyq retrofits projectors for cars, try looking for his thread in tsikot.

if you'd like to keep everything "stock", I'd suggest get either Osram Nightbreakers of Philips Xtreme power bulbs. These give more light at the same wattage, whilst allowing you to keep the headlight housing stock. The trade off is a slightly shorter bulb life. Madali makahanap for our rides kasi H4 ginamit sa mazda2. hehe.

Hindi nag iimprove FC ko kasi ang sobrang saya talaga ihataw ng mazda natin...

though napansin ko mas matagal ng yung fun time bago bumawas yung mga bars. hehe.

I remember someone mentioning that the sedan was a bit twitchier at the limit compared to the hatch...

but more or less, the handling's essentially the same.

C! magazine stated that the sedan is actually lighter than the hatch by 17 kilograms, and has a better drag coefficient. hehe.

mag-eexpire na comprehensive insureance ng m2 ko on mar 5. not sure if pa-renew ko nalang yung existing ko (in house Pioneer Mazda Alabang) o sourc eout ako ng ibang insurance company. Meron ba kayo marecommend na ok?

the insurance that we have for our other vehicles is Mapfre...

Convenient. No need for a police report to file claims, and our experience with them is good - we usually get the LOA and have the vehicle repaired within 2 weeks.

Gusto ko din magpalit ng bulbs. Ang hina ng stock. I used Osram Nightbreakers, ok siya. Maganda din yung sa Philips. I forgot the name of the model. Hindi siya Xtreme e.
