    these are the new Mazda Diesel engines going into racing...
    one at the Speed Rolex 24hr. competition...

    accdg. to the folks speaking on video: about 60% of the Engine parts are Stock....
    stock engine/block/ cylinder head/ fuel injectors......

    and the output Power Rating is this :400hp; 500lb-ft torque..... thats around 69kg-m.....insane insane!

    Just about time for the Japanese to shine on the new wave of diesel engine tech. They've been a laggard compared to the Koreans.

    Fun factoid... ex-SportCompact Car tech geek David Coleman is part of the team at Mazda USA working on that motor.

    i guess they could make it work on different state of tunes to able to match from the Mazda3, 6, CX-5 and even CX-9.

    we know this stock Motor comes in two output variants...150hp (40kg-m torque); 175hp (44kg-m)....

    Three teams competed these carbon-fiber-bodied, twin-turbo, clean diesel, SKYACTIV-powered Mazda6s in GX-class competition. One of those teams was Coral Springs, FL-based SpeedSource Race Engineering (SpeedSource Fan Page), who built each car and their 400hp / 450lb-ft torque SKYACTIV-D engines.
