July 4th, 2009 04:52 PM #1mazda service centers refuse to diagnose mazda cars from1990 to 1999
mazda greenhills and mazda q. ave. hindi na daw sila ngdidiagnose ng mga old models na mazda....
ok lang ba to...?
kasi sa honda kahit ung mga models na panahon pa ni marcos e tinatangap pa rin nila pag ipinasok mo sa casa

Well, comments like these certainly would add to the poor resale value of Mazdas.
Would certainly not want one!

Remember the old Mazda's WERE NOT SOLD BY THE SAME PEOPLE as the Mazda's today. So the new owners probably don't want to take responsibility for it. And that is why old Mazda's have very poor resale values. Almost non-existent support and parts harder to find.

GTS Auto Service Center sa Congressional Avenue lampas Mindanao Ave. First time ko pa check duon ng mazda 1998 familia 323. Galing nila at very professional dating.
Actually they work on ANY car. Kahit luma na. Saw a Nissan (parang box type pa ata), a 1993 Civic, a 1999 and 1989 Toyota Corolla (Lovelife ata and a small body corolla).
Galing pa ng alignment nila. digital. front and back.
Kung ayaw ng casa di dalhin mo sa casa like service center. Speedyfix ok din kaso malayo sa akin (QC). Kia Pasay din kaso malayo rin.

November 13th, 2010 10:27 AM #8maybe thats one strategy of mazda to make change their reputation kasi sikat sila sa europe eversince. All their units starting their come back in 2001 after shutting down in 1998 was all euro compliant cars. Hinde na ngayon ginagawang taxi. Thats why they are not supporting and producing parts of old mazda's para maeliminate, thats why old mazdas are very cheap para madaling maubos in order to vanish all old mazda. Nasa sa atin lang mga user how to handle everything in a unit to outperform others. Lucky we are because bumalik ang mazda in good shape. Sikat pa rin lalo na mga bago design very impressive and they are bearing the same name as in our unit.
parts of old mazda hinde mahirap kasi parehas lang sa ford ang mga pyesa. There are lots common parts between mazda and ford. And perhaps 6-10 years from now old mazda are all gone i think its fair enough. So dont get turned-down.
My advice to all old mazda users, just find a very good mechanic. I have one 323, and still in good shape. And im still on the way of upgrading it to high performance.

Why should they even bother? The old Mazdas don't have anything in common with the current line up... platforms completely different... engines completely different... and most old Mazda owners go to outside shops, anyway, because 1.) They have no more warranty and 2.) Outside service is cheaper than casa service. 3.) Many good outside shops have OBD scanners that can pull up computer codes just like the casa can.
To service really old Mazdas, Mazda Philippines would have to budget for extra training for technicians to handle cars they will almost never see and stock up on expensive and rare parts for walk-in customers who will come by once in a blue moon and who will carp and complain about buying a 30,000 peso distributor for a 15 year old car that's worth 100,000 pesos. Doesn't benefit anyone, really.
