Something occurred to me last Sunday since hubby and I are back in Cainta -- that I drive our Forester to work for the entire week despite the oil price hike. Running at 14 km/h has returned 13.0 L / 100 km. I'm excited to find the actual out this Friday [emoji16]

That's correct if from another perspective [emoji4]

I was thinking that SE needed to go fast to get 6 L / 100 km in return; as going slow would result to higher fuel consumption.

11km/l highway, light traffic on subic trip, medyo aggressive driving mode :D hehe

That's an impressive fuel economy for an old car with 2.5L engine. What's the average speed?

Our 1st gen Mazda3's ave fuel economy is only 7 to 8 km/Li, daily drive from Commonwealth ave to C5. 2 to 3 hours drive for 60km, ave 12kph. So far our new Mazda3 2.0L fuel economy is no more better nor worse than the 1.6L. I track the car's fuel economy using the car's fuel economy stats along with an android app that keeps track of my weekly fuel full fill-ups.

Horrendous traffic along Katipunan and C5 can really put a heavy toll in fuel economy.

That is why, and as much as possible, i avoid going north [emoji28]hehe anyway, i actually got my 6 just months ago, 2nd hand, and yes fc is quite impressive. Was hoping and will try to get 9+ kpl after knowing it can do 8-8.5 and after pms (will post figures once nakapag full tank ulit). Am not taking note of ave speed though, but as far as i can remember from the dash, its about 17-21kph on city. Will include ave speed on my next test

I use Shell V-Power for both cars.

Odometer: 362km
Fuel Economy (2nd full fill-up): 7.19 km/liter
Average Speed: 12kph
Daily drive 60km with heavy traffic at C5 and Commonwealth Ave

Fuel economy is at par with 5-10 year old sedans with 1.6L engines (one of which is a 1st gen Mazda3).

Mine is a 2018 Mazda 3 2.0 R. Display shows an average FC of 11 Km/L. Total distance traveled is around 1500 Km. My daily drive is also around 60 Km Southwoods - Moonwalk along SLEX, not as heavy as C5/Commonwealth.

Do you have the 2017 or 2014 model? Mine's the 2017/2018 and the default unit displayed is km/Li

I reset the gauge every 3k km and the ave fc is almost the same. Cainta to makati route

In my opinion, I have the best of both worlds. Fun to drive and yet frugal fuel consumption.
