Update on specs (based on my sales rep):

17" wheels (wanted the 19" sana)
No moonroof
Not leather seats
With LCD screen


I'm not very happy...

Is this specs for the top end variant or for the entry level?

There is no entry level or top variant for the Philippines. Same specs for manual and automatic. We just get the 2.0 fwd skyactiv gasoline variant. Choice is just manual or auto and the color.

I am planning to have the Automatic variant but if the specifications that you have posted were the final specs, then the cost of 1.452M is very steep. But when I checked those being offered by Hancars in Sulit the specification is quite different...i wonder why??

Have you checked those being offered by Horizoncars at Sulit (see below specs for the MT from their ad)? I have sent an email inquiry to them just this afternoon to confirm if what they have posted is the one that they are offering and will post here what they say.

I paid the refundable P5,000 reservation fee last Tuesday. The kind sales executive from Mazda Greenhills picked up the payment and gave me a provisional receipt. Then the following day he came back with the OR.

He can't give me specs yet because their training is next week so he doesn't know. I initially signed up for the Zeal Red but texted him today that I want the White (Crystal White Pearl? - not sure).

Heard that the formal launch of the CX-5 ans M3 is on April 20 at the NBC Tent. Don't know if it's true but I hope my reservation fee gets me an invite.

looks even better on flesh. to think almost a million and a half ang cost hindi pa isinama ang ilang features (wheels,leather,sunroof). hope ma justify nila yan.

I have seen the Subaru XV at 2012 MIAS and was not impressed. I'm not so sure, yet, as I have not seen the CX 5 in the flesh but maybe it is much better than the XV. I hope I can make it sa test drive ng CX 5 sa NBC Tent this coming Saturday and Sunday!

Medyo tight yung space ng XV nakita ko rin sa MIAS. Judging from the pics mukhang mas maluwag itong cx5 with good cargo space sana totoo.

if u gotta have AWD eh di siempre Subaru lang choice mo, kasi FWD lang daw (initially) ang CX-5 sa Pinas.... then no brainer na CX-5.... why? Sporty drive, fuel efficiency, space and extra ride height....

Reserved palang pero refundable Kung di ko gusto after seeing actual unit and test drive. Sayang some of the specs I wanted are not included. ( eg. Moonroof, 19" wheels, etc)

But I will test it this weekend. I hope I can decide which color. Red or white?
