    welcome atongk
    check it from bottom, up!

    keep it clean ang simple.

    happy trails

Same engine ang B2200 at yung Besta 2.2 ko dati. Mga around 70 bhp siya (same as early 2.5L Mitsubishi 4D56 N/A). Masarap i-rev saka ok around town. Medyo bitin lang sa top end and may pagka-maingay.

Start with the basics siguro. Complete detailing inside, outside and pati sa engine. This way makikita mo kunhg may mga ibang problem areas pa na kelangan ng iyong attention before you start with the mods.

For me, just keep it simple. Slightly larger wheel and tire combo lang.

TY

    atongK,

I used to have a 94 B2200 as service....ang major thing about it is the engine and the balljoints. Medyo me design flow ang engine ng unang B2200s (lalo na sa series na nakuha mo)...If you're lucky enough na hindi problem engine iyung nakuha mo imaintain mo na lang ng husto.

A regular engine oil change and filter change should help a lot (every 3000-5000 should be good huwag mo nang palagpasin pa). Hindi rin pang hi-reving ang makina so don't race the engine or the vechicle....madaling masisira or bibigay.

Consider a check-up or cleaning of the injector nozzles muna kung medyo mausok before getting it calibrated. Ung sa aking napasama pa lalo nung pinacalibrate....in case na ipapacalibrate mo naman....get the real experts to do it (me mga tsikoteers na me calibration biz or employees nito so consult them first).

Yung sa balljoint, ewan ko lang yung sa ride mo kung pedeng i-grease....if it is, have it checked and re-greased. Very prone ito na matuyuan ng grasa.

Suggestion ko sa gulong problem mo (cheapest option) would be to have the torsion bar cranked to give an inch lift sa harap...then kung tumaas at nasolve ang sabit ng gulong sa wheel well at tsaka mo ipa ayos ulit ang camber alignment. Kung lalabas na naka "tingala" ang ride mo after the cranking of the T-bars, ipa-change mo naman ang rear shackles....get an inch taller too than your stock. Cost mo to do this would be T-bar crank bet 400-650, alignment bet 400-1200, shackles 600-1200, labor sa shackle replacement 150-300.

Option 2 which is more expensive is try to consider an inch or 2 body lift. Body lift of about 2 inches or less would have lesser modifications sa iba't-ibang parts na maapektohan (like position ng radiator, hose lines ng brake, clutch, steering wheel connector). This could run anywhere between the budget of P7,000-20,000.

Option 3. There are also branded lift kits (suspension lift as well as body lift)na that might fit your ride...AFAIK, the lift kit of ford ranger will fit your ride too. Expect a cost not less than P20,000.

    my 2 cents.

    atongk,
almost 11 years na ang b2200 ko, just follow yung advice ng mga bros and all should be fine. I- drain mo yung tubig na naipon dun. Unscrew the plastic drain. Kung walang tubig na lumalabas, ibig sabihin, madumi, get a wire at i thread mo sa drain hole hanggang may lumabas.(tip: place a plastic container under the drain so you will have an idea how dirty our diesel are in this side of the planet. I always drain the sedimentor every 2 months or so. Have the engine timing belt and tensioner replaced. I already had replaced mine twice. 200,000 plus na ang mileage. I hope that my truck would make it through the emissions test this coming august.

Fix first all the mechanical gremlins before you touch on the exterior and interior.

Check also the body and underchassis for rust. If you find your height sufficient enough, lifting wouldnt really be a must IMO... A nice rim and tire packaged would help, just dont oversize (in terms of diameter) as it will affect the performance of the car.

Since you're near the Cubao area, try checking out DKC Tires along Tuazon...so far we've been getting good deals from them.

    bros,
woahh, thanks for all the replies. first yung engine, nag palit na ako ng engine so oks naman, hindi rin siya mausok (i passed the emission test). next is problem talaga yung tires and rims ko, sayad talaga pag turning ( i got a deal from a tire shop near cubao area, originally from a safari siya, 15" rims and malalaki yung tires) pardon my stupid question, pero anong itsura po ba nung torsion bar ?

My uncle had a B2200 back in the mid-90's. He fitted Safari alloy wheels to it but I think he downsized the tires to 30X9.5R15 instead of the usual 31X10.5R15 used by the Safari.

He had the t-bars cranked and new rear shackles fabbed up.

Btw, don't forget to re-aim your headlamps after changing the vehicle's ride height.

my cousin had one before too. when he changed to 15" rims he put 225/65R15 tires so walang sayad. also the design flow of the engine can be attributed to not using original oil filters. since very expensive ang originals almost 1k before, people use replacement oil filters which tend to collapse the insides of the filter restricting oil to the engine. i have one friend who has more than 250k and still going strong. yung lang ang bed ay malaglag na sa rust.

try to put aux lights sa ilalim ng bumper, may holes provided already just get the plastic cover and enlarge a bit, american version look. use hella comet 450 or bosch pilot. black out mo b pillars. and pa double contact mo signal lights sa front bumper.

I'm selling OEM oil filters for the B2200. Pero nabenta yung Besta before the intended service stop.

Main and bypass filter yung sakin (complete set bale). Php 500.00 ko lang binebenta. Nasa box pa (ng Kia) with original hologram stickers.

    sirs,
i just had the torsion bars cranked yesterday, 2" yata, no more sayad during turning, kaya lang naging bumpy yung ride , pantay na sila nung rear (hindi nakatingala), shackles naman papalit ko mamaya and wheel alignmnent. also, had the timing belt replaced, sinunod ko lahat ng advice ng gurus dito sa tsikot because i know you guys are the best. thanks, fog lamps naman . . . palagi ng nakangiti si mrs ngayon kasi may itsura na daw yung pick up unlike nung una.

sir otep, interested ako sa oil filters mo, pwede ba yan sa kia R4 2.5? pagbalik namin from zambo (may kaunting mission) can i contact you? ty in advance

    atongk,

Ito yung rubber which limits the downward movement of the suspension. May mga nabibiling low profile bumpstops pero kung on a budget ka, just use a saw on your existing ones.

About the oil filters, hindi ako sure about the R42.5 engines. Sa Mazda B2200 at Besta 2.2 (or other models which use the same engine).

    bors,
question. . . napalitan ko na lahat ng parts nitong b22 na ito, oks naman, sulit sa gastos, one last problemo (sana) mabilis tumaas ang temp nya specially kung matraffic and naka aircon, also kung tumatakbo siya (100kph pataas). A mechanic adviced me to double the aux fan w/c i immediately complied with pero ganoon pa din, yung radiator nya, 2 rows lang daw. Will replacing the radiator with three(3) rows fix the problem, others mechanics told me that an FX radiator will fit in the space. What should i do ???? saan ba nakakabili nito, any idea on how much ???? CONFUSED na ako. . .
    Thanks a lot
