    Hello Mazda truckers!

Each time I read this forum, I always long for my B2500. Though it stayed with us for almost 13 yrs. gathering more than 228k kms, I could say it was still pretty good when we sold it.

Anyhow, I could recall way back when my fuel filter didn't have that pump yet and didn't really put attention to replace the fuel filter each time I had an oil change, I got this idea from sir Dusky, there was that time wherein the engine shakes very wild upon start up and also at turning it off. I noticed as well that the pull wasn't that strong. I brought it to my mechanic and he advised to change the fuel filter. Upon changing, we thought that everything was fine but after he installed it, he advised me to buy the one with a pump to prevent the hassle of using your mouth to sip the fuel and to remove the air. I said how much and told them next time. I haven't gotten far from the auto shop, the engine shook wildly and the engine died. So I called them and he did that ancient procedure of sipping the fuel. I got home but really worried along the way. But still the engine shakes very bad.

I called and inquired about that pump and they gave me 2 choices: 1 is replacement, the other is an original from L300. I said I'll try the replacement. F**k, NEVER EVER BUY a replacement. It didn't even last a week and told them I will get the original plus I want a new fuel filter that would fit in it. After they have installed, I immediately felt the improvement in the engine performance. And the mechanic told me that the very first time that I will start the engine, I should pump the filter 3x to remove the air. I always did that and never had any problems with that wild shaking anymore. Plus I also followed the advise of sir Dusky to have the fuel separator cleaned at DRT then have them adjust the valves, and I also changed the air filter. Never had any problems anymore until we sold it.

    Dear Guys:

Am back from Quezon, actually it was a business trip, am checking the area out for business opportunities.

In fact, I will go back there again next week.

Am continuing with the LPG project, finally na-tapos na yung toolbox ko, so I have a place to put the LPG tank and stuff.

Everything should be working by our next EB (cross-your-fingers!).

    Greetings to rna800!

    Sir long time no hear!

    Welcome back to our thread!

I'm sorry to find out that wala na pala ang B2500 mo, sayang, mura na ang mga turbo na WLT-31! - almost half the equivalent of used turbo-diesels out there - hint!

Alam ko na! - kapag nag-hanap ka ng extra pickup - B2500 uli!

life2enjoi - sir keep trying each morning to see if there is air in the line when you bleed, kung meron, then it's definitely an air leak in the fuel line.

Everyone - konting tiis na lang sa init ng panahon - malapit na (sana) ang tag-ulan.

    Best Regards,

    Dusky Lim

P.S. May friend ako na naghahanap ng B2500, any one knows of a good one?

So you will try to put LPG in your truck, sir? I can't wait to know how it would perform.

Actually I kept on seeing a lot of Mazda pickups nowadays whether a beat up one or a fresh one, either B2200 or B2500. I don't know if I just miss that truck or a lot of people have bought that kind of truck.

We sold it already coz we will buy a new one probably 4th quarter this year or next year when the ALL NEW models come out. We thought that if we will buy another pickup or SUV, we might end up not using it anymore so we came up with the decision of selling it while I am still confident that no major repairs coming soon. I always miss the roar of the engine wherein I thought I was traveling fast then when I look at the speedo, it's only 60 or 80.hehe

If I only knew that you have a friend looking for a unit, I would have offered mine considering our subdivisions are near from each other. But we already sold it.

    Dear Guys:

Yes it was a pity that I didn't inform people of my friends desire for a pickup sooner.

But for those who didn't get the last message -

Mga pre' may friend akong nag-hahanap ng B2500 na sariwa - pls PM me if you know of any - thanks in advance!

The LPG-diesel project is on-going - hopefully may results na by next EB.

    Keeping my fingers crossed.

    Best Regards,

    Keep on trucking!

    Hi Life2enjoi:

To be frank, I really don't buy any parts from Makati, hanggang Banawe at Binondo lang ako.

Isa pa, maraming huli kasi duon sa inyo, you know, the MAPSA freaks.

If you can still get them, try using KHT Kitahara plugs (12.0 volts), pero marami na ang FAKE.

As before (please go back to the old posts) test the plugs BEFORE buying or you may regret it.

Good Luck (again) and Best Regards,

    Dusky Lim

sir z50r, ride height fix will will depend on how you often use your truck for hauling etc. it will also depend on the tire & rim size you have. if you're not using the truck to haul large loads everytime, then stock height or lowered stance would be okay. for larger rims and bigger/wider tires [is yours 235/75/R15 or 30x9.5?], better get it slightly lifted = crank the front torsions 2" the most. leave the rear stock height.

will PM you the number later..

OT: are you using the bed shell? if not, better if you remove it. it's pickup truck. hehe. just my opinion.
