Most of the time ako lang ang sakay ng pickup. CBS brand pala yung tie-rod end at balljoints ko, yung 555 around 800 ata each.

*youngrider: walang prob basta bago ang pyesa na ikinabit mo. about the ball joints and tie rod ends, lagi in pairs ang palitan nyan. then kelangan mo magpacamber and wheel alignment pagkatapos. btw, rancho shocks 6 y/o na and walang prob. comfy and durable to!

Dear Guys:

You might NOT believe this, but here goes.

Because I have my own air-compressor and precision tire air gauge at home, I was able to regularly check and adjust my tire pressures.

As you all know I use China-made Wanli 215/70 R-14 on all four corners.

After trying out a myriad of different pressures, for comfort, load-carrying capacity etc.

I found that the optimum tire pressure for our 2 pickup's (my Mazda B2500 and out Toyota HiLux) are 40 psig on ALL four tires.

Note: psig - pounds per square inch gauge

Using less pressure only marginally improved the ride comfort but severely affected the control and braking qualities, not to mention limiting the load-carrying capacity.

Mazda's recommended tire pressures (on a sticker on the driver-side B-pillar) is 26 psig front and 28 psig rear - unloaded.

That increases to 32 psig front and 36 psig rear when loaded.

The tire manufacturers recommends different pressures, from 36 psig unloaded to nearly 60 psig loaded.

If I were to choose between the advice of Mazda vs the advice of the tire maker - I would DEFINITELY go with the tire maker.

You should try this out when driving hard and fast in the city and in turns, as well as when braking hard - the high tire pressure give you much better control AND fuel economy.

Best Regards, Dusky Lim

PS - carebear - nakabili ka na ng pickup? - congrats!

I am seeing a lot of digital tire gauges specially 'LOTUS brand', reliable kaya ito.

I am using 'INFINITY' China tires at the moment ok na ok pa naman, makapal at pantay pa rin after almost one year of use.

Baka di na kaya ng pickup ko yung 40 PSI F/R, yung current set up ko na 32/36 F/R is already a compromise for economy, but I really like the handling and power although medyo matagtag na ng kaunti sa bad roads.

* azzkkr2600, what vehicles are usually installed with 31x10.5 MT tires, yung 9-setting adjustable ba yung RANCHO na gamit mo, how much kaya yung current price nyan ngayon.

5. #1165
tire pressure really depends on the size of the tires.

*youngrider: some vehicles with standard 31x10.5 tires are... old mitsu pajero and isuzu trooper.

the rancho RS9000x shocks, i think, costs P30T a set... sir pigface, what's your current price for mazda minitruckers?

Dear Ronn:

My choice is :

#2 for sticker

#8 for T-shirt

Dear carebear:

Just to warn you, the Rotary engines are VERY sensitive to the maintenance and care given by the previous owner, and MALAKAS sila sa gas - the power is good but the fuel economy is BAD.

I have seen quite a few and kung hindi inalagaan mabuti ng may-ari, usually blow-by na sila, (and its a bitch to find the parts).

If the maintenance has really been appalling, the apex and side seals of the rotor will start to chatter and dig-into the epi-trochoid shaped housing.

If this happened, then your really in trouble because no-one here locally can recondition that housing by machining.

Check it out very carefully and have him run it and observe.

Also test drive it.

Be VERY CRITICAL because once you buy it, - its YOUR problem.

Good Luck!!!

Best Regards,

Dusky Lim

# 6 for both shirt and sticker. Ronn, are the length of the front shocks of our trucks the same despite the body or suspension lift? Thanks. let's roll !

16. #1176
*sir bors: shocks are different sir. i think yours is a little bit short since you cranked up the torsion bars to achieve a 4wd stance right? get kyb shocks from the 4wd version.

guys, any other input/s?

yes..nirereview ko ng mabuti yun RX-7 engine set-up nun. on the practicality side. siguro bonus lang yun makakita ako ng Bseries na ganun ang set-up.

and your right about the fuel economy, mahal sya vs sa price ng fuel ngayon. especially parts, makaka-access lang yata ako ng mantenance at parts kung sasali pa ko ng official Mazda Tech club.

* ronn

I have tried many times loading all sorts of furniture from tables, chairs, sofas, fridge, that are taller than its roof, a bit longer than the bed, when I traveled within the city, I live in QC, or to our province in La Union, I haven’t been pulled over. I didn’t also use any special straps but I made sure it was strapped properly. I don’t see any reason why they have to pull you over.
