good day sir!

the B2200 / B2500 series trucks are very dependable work trucks [provided that you take good care of it. syempre applicable ito sa lahat ng klase ng sasakyan]. here are some points you need to check [isama mo na rin ang trusted mechanic mo para may second opinion ka agad].

1. ask the seller not to start the engine til you arrive. kelangan mo makita ang oil level and condition ng engine during a cold start. make sure to check the oil level first. start the engine and do not rev it. listen to the engine ~ your mechanic will know if there's something wrong with it.

2. check for engine leaks / fluid leaks. check fluid levels of the clutch and brake master cylinder as well as the radiator and radiator fluid reservoir. a dirty engine bay is equal to a vehicle not being properly taken care of. now get in the truck and slowly drive it around the block [or hiway or wherever na pwede hehe]. check if there is a clutch drag kasi pwede mo pang haggle to sa seller. mahal ngayon ang clutch kit e. pambawas presyo din to. also check kung may bluish white smoke. this is a sign of an ailing engine. loosing compression or blow by kumbaga. another way to check it is to remove the engine oil dipstick while it is on idle. pag may oil na tumatalsik, blow by na ito. posibleng piston ring ang sira nito.

3. ask the seller if the vehicle was involved in any major collision [if the seller is not really the owner, at buy and sell lang talaga ang ginagawa, then most probably hindi sasabihin syo or wala syang magiging pakialam kung merong history ng bangga or wala]. get a magnet wrapped in microfibre cloth and try to slide it sa mga panels ng body. pag ayaw dumikit or mamagnet, ibig sabihin makapal ang masilya ~ posibleng may major repair dito. also check yun mga door pillars at front end ng truck. pag may mga signs of rust, possible na nahinang ito at nainvolve sa aksidente dati.

4. check the odometer reading. if it shows more than 200,000km, dapat e nakadalawang palit na to ng timing belt. most car enthusiasts will change the belt after purchasing a secondhand vehicle regardless of the odo reading [dapat ganito din ang practice sa mga nagbabalak magchange engine].

5. check the steering and suspension components. on a straightline road, in 2nd or 3rd gear, take your hands off the steering wheel and see if the vehicle will still run straight or will steer to the left or right. kung may kabig, posibleng sira ang mga tie rod ends and/or wheel bearings or hindi pantay ang brakes [hindi masyado nakarelease ang calipers dahil stuck up ang brake pistons?].

take note na hindi lahat ng makinis na auto ay maganda manakbo. wag din magmadali bumili at maghanap ng iba pa para may comparison.

Newbie po. I just got a second-hand B2500 a few months ago. First time owner po ng pick up truck. Ok naman yun ride, kapag city driving.

tanong ko lang mga sirs, ba't kaya sa long drive (NLEX), paminsan ayaw umangat yun RPM? minsan nasa 2100, then parang nabubulunan na yun engine. nasa 80 to 90 yun takbo ko.

pasensiya na po. I'm still trying to find a good mechanic for the truck, kaya ako nag decide to ask around

First up, welcome to Tsikot!!! feel free to drop by the newbies thread and say hello.

Regarding your truck, I suggest you get a thorough checkup of the engine... Yung nabubulunan na sinasabi mo may be a sign of a clogged fuel filter, or dirty injectors, or a vacuum leak in the fuel line leading to the injection pump. It might also be a sign that the injection pump needs to be calibrated. What's the odometer reading on your truck if you don't mind me asking?

Airolynx provided some sound advice as to checking out the fuel system, for blockage leaks, etc.

I can say the the primary reasons for stuttering loss of power is usually related to fuel and air getting into the fuel system.

1. May kabig po sa leftside kapag binibitawan ko yun manibel though nagpa wheel balance ako ang sabi ok naman. ano po kaya problema dun? Balak ko po kasi sana palitan ng steering wheel para medyo pumorma ng konti.

2. Yun aircon naman po wala ng lamig tapos kapag binubuksan ko may mabahong amoy na lumalabas..tsk tsk.. balak ko po sana palitan ng aircon ng nissan. pwede po ba yun? malamig po kasi talaga aircon ng nissan eh.

3. yun busina ko naman po once nasa SLEX or NLEX ako then kapag tumaas ang temperature nawawala naman po yun busina. kapag medyo bumagal ako at bumaba ang temp ayun bumabalik naman ang busina..tsk tsk..ano po kaya prob nun?

namana ko lan gpo sa erpat ko iyong sasakyan..hindi na kasi niya nagagamit..

sana po matulungan niyo ako..salamat po..

hi!

1. check your front wheel bearings. it might need grease repacking / a new set. also check/clean/replace your brakes. baka "stuck up" na ang brake pistons kaya may kabig. lastly, check your steering components i.e. tierod ends, pitman and idler arms.

steering wheel? get an orig MOMO. standard size. ranges between P4000 and P10000.

2. aircon check. have it cleaned. your a/c specialist will know what to do and what parts to replace. most of the time cleaning lang ang kelangan at palit ng drier & expansion valve.

3. horn? wiring problem lang yan. ipatrace mo sa electrician and wiring at papalitan mo ng bago.

ilan days/months/years na po ba hindi nagagamit ang truck?

1) Most of the time when the vehicle does not track properly (kumakabig) there is a problem with the alignment.

Have a competent shop check your alignment out completely.

I recommend Wheeler's along Dapitan St., very near Banawe St., on the Orthopedic Hospital side.

2) Have your aircon checked at a competent shop - I recommend Ding Clemente's along Benitez St., Barangay West Triangle, Quezon City.

Its very near Examiner St., and in the same area as the house of Prez Noynoy along Times.

Tel No is 924 04 62, look for Ding Clemente or his foreman, Tsong - tell them I sent you.

3) Most of the time when a horn is not working correctly it's a wiring issue, Ding and Tsong can help you there. You may have to have the whole horn wiring replaced.

good day sir vhyken! very good choice po! maganda po ang B2500! madami pang pyesa at, in my opinion, mas mura ang unit at mura ang parts nito. mas maganda kung makakuha ka ng 4WD. the engine is a WL31 [NA]. same as the local ranger [2001] 4x2.

cons? wala as far as i know. parts are easy to find.

Mga Ka-B Series. meron akong 1999 mazda b2500. may Carryboy Canopy. kapag umuulan sa labas, umuulan din sa loob. Carryboy Canopy Window rubber liner ay cracked/brittle kaya di na selyado. pinuntahan ko na ang Carryboy sa Banawe wala at sa halos lahat ng tindahan sa banawe ay walang ka-size. Matibay ang Carryboy Canopy pero di nagtatagal ang rubber liner.

Patulong kung saan pwedeng ipagawa or makabili ng rubber liner ng window. Humingi na rin ako ng tulong kay Bossing DuskyLim. request na rin ako sa Facebook Club Mazda B-Series para makakita ng solusyon.
