    Interesting:

Mazda owners won't have to spend on maintenance for first 3 years - News | TopGear.com.ph

Here's something that should make buyers notice the rebuilding Mazda brand. Berjaya Auto Philippines, the exclusive distributor of Mazda vehicles in the country, is making car ownership a stress- and hassle-free experience by launching its "Yojin 3 Mazda Total Care" new-vehicle service program.

Derived from the Japanese word "youjin," which translates to "care" in English, Yojin 3 is Berjaya Auto Philippines' approach to "a worry-free ownership experience." For three years or 60,000km--whichever comes first--new Mazda owners will enjoy free periodic service maintenance covering parts, labor and lubricants.

There will be max 7 maintenance session in the first 3 yrs, first on 1Tkm, then the next ones after every 10000km or 6months whichever comes first. Assuming an average maintenance cost of P6000, the 3-yr free PMS means 7xP6k=P42k.

Better ask for more cash discount. Last Dec, Mazda was offering as much as P300k cash discount for CX9. But that was due to end of year target quota.

It's only for January 1, 2013 onwards. Panalo sana yung mga CX9 buyers last year kung sakali - may cash discount na, may free maintenance pa.

Sakto *ano727. Was looking for that statistic. P42K is 14 gasoline fill ups at P3K each. Not bad, but pale in comparison to the P200-300K discount from last year. From a non-CX9 buyer's perspective, I think the free maintenance is a good come on, if Mazda can translate it into real world average figures.

Some posters / commenters about this article fail to realize that the 40k pms is a major one, with an owner spending between 15-25k to replace all fluids, filters, etc. then factor in the other 5 PMS skeds at say 5-6k each, then that would result to a 55k value.

Another factor to consider is that some owners actually miss their PMS skeds due to the fact that they'd have to pay for this while also paying for other monthly bills such as utilities, expenses at home, and their monthly amortization to pay-off their car. I think the best thing about this is that you wouldn't have to worry that you'll miss your PMS sked due to budget issues.

I think this is also better than extended warranty because you immediately feel the effects. Plus the fact that it's so hard to claim for warranty from other brands after the initial 3-year warranty (the 2 extra years are actually covered by an insurance provider).

But yeah I guess to each his own. Some buyers will still prefer an outright discount versus something you'd feel gradually.

    Agree with you on this.

Earlier this year there were comments going around that Ford Group Philippines overpriced Mazda cars. An executive in Berjaya was asked if he thinks this is so and refused comment but hinted on the same. Unfortunately, they can't bring the prices down as it will upset existing customers. I surmise this is their way of lowering the prices, by taking on maintenance cost.

    Because of synthetic oil.

That big difference sa synthetic oil vs regular oil. Kala ko maski na synthetic oil, 5k pa rin sa diesel

Hindi naman, lamang pa rin ang synthetic oil. Pero yung filter every 5k for replacement, then konting top up sa oil.

Mazda sold only 100+ units this 2013" while Toyota has 5000+ and Mitsu has 3000+ and hyundai 3rd with 1k+

That only shows that the current mazda line-up is overpriced. I doubt even the free 3 year service will help, eh kasi overpriced na to begin with, bale parang nag-advance payment lang kayo dyan, kung papa-uto kayo sa promo na yan

Promo yan kse pag di nag work yan saka sila magbabagsak. What mazda and suzuki and others who already offer this type of free PMS dont know is kaya malakas ang Toyota is bec iba iba ang pricing nila sa toyota cars, lalo na kung Fil-chinese and regular banker ka sa metrobank

Mitsubishi is alread doing the same thing, the montero sport already is being at different pricing schemes na malalaman mo lang if you maintain a good relationship with the dealer.

so yun SRP na nakikita nyo sa internet, that's negotionable if for instance from the start you did not maintain a transactional perspective with your dealers.

Real estate can be personalized and negotiated, why can't cars.

Really? Baka mawala sila after 1 year problema yan. What will happen if they change the franchiser again, will they honor the 3 year service?

So far I ask 3 dealership about their yojin pms schedule and what is included. None have given an answer. They really don't know what is included. Makes me worry a lot.

i am in the field of marketing and I'll let you in on a little secret, most companies today, hindi lang car dealers are deliberately hiring misinformed salesmen, kse they're trying to hit you sa isang sales pitch para mag-open up ka na and become willing to buy. That's why they have team leaders and managers, to tell you na may 'slight' changes sa sinabi ng field sales nya. Eh kaya lang you invested time and sleepless nights na imagining your soon to be aquired purchase so to back out from simple changes are less likely.

As marketing, alam na namin na most people today research countless hours on the internet before they make a purchase, perp ang hindi alam ng customer eh ang hinuhuli lang namin eh yun pagka-atat nya lalo na kung decide na sya,

So that's why yan ang trend today, they dont hire well informed salesmen, in fact other salesmen sinasadya na din siguro para makabenta

I'm planning to buy Mazda BT50 soon. we'll originally my 1st choice is the 4x2 Ford Ranger Wildtrak, But
given the horror stories I am hearing about "some" Ford dealership about post sales services
I opted for the choice of having a 3 years Free PMS service of Yojin3 ng Mazda just to be on the safe side.

    My questions are
    - meron na po ba dito nakapag claim na ng ng yojin3?
    - Is Mazda honoring it?
    - or is it just smoke and mirrors?

TIA for anyone that can enlighten me.
