October 25th, 2011 11:24 AM #1Hi Guys,
Im a newbie, and seeking advice on my first car. I saw a 93 Model Mazda Astina (Automatic) and 93 model Mazda Astina (Manual). Please advice me which one is better in terms of gas consumptions, parts available, cost of maintenance. Is Mazda Astina a good choice for a newbie like me?
I would really appreciate your advice!

October 26th, 2011 04:41 AM #2One disappointed Astina owner here ...
Kung mapilit ka naman sir, get the unit with manual transmission for better (than the A/T) fuel consumption.
Most under-chassis parts (except for shock mountings) are shared with its sedan counterpart, so sourcing them out should not be a problem.
Madami Mazda/Ford shops sa Banawe at Pasay.
However, it does not shared anything from body panels to dashboard/door sidings so expect headache if ever one of those relevant parts breaks on you.
Magsasawa ka din sa pop-up headlights.
They're just a fad.
