(((IMO)))
Anything can happen... What Mitsubishi did can happen to Mazda. A day or two after the Montero Sport debut in Moscow 2008, this SUV was launched in the Philippines already making this country the first to sell it. The launch for the Thai Market took a few months later as well as other ASEAN countries.
Mazda can follow the same trait. Whatever the plant in Thailand has churned, it will produce and distribute. Maybe they prioritized LHD models so the Philippines and Vietnam can get it.
If FGP wants to beat the competition, they must produce a better lineup of sedans and hatches with a price to make prospects drool! If possible, FGP must sell this before yearend in order to help the local auto industry to reach its target of selling (i think) 130,000++ units

Wawawa naman Thailand, sa kanila assembled tapos mauunahan pa ng ibang bansa.
Anyway lagay ko lang quote nilagay dati ni sir AG4:
RAYONG, Thailand — AutoAlliance Thailand, a Ford/Mazda joint venture, unveiled the Mazda 2 to the local media on Thursday as the company prepares to start production of the subcompact at its Rayong assembly plant here.
The car is based on the model currently in production in Japan. It will go on sale in Thailand in November and will be rolled out in other markets in the region soon after, starting with Indonesia later in the same month, the Philippines in December and Malaysia next March
Nagreklamo na siguro Thailand kaya mauuna sila ng 1month ngayon.

Maybe...
But even before they gave more specific dates they already mentioned earlier that the Mazda 2 will be launched in the 4th quarter of 2009 while the Fiesta will follow in the 1st quarter of 2010.
Article from Sept 3, 2009
Mazda Sales Thailand will launch the budget Mazda 2 in the fourth quarter and Ford Thailand to launch the Fiesta in the first quarter next year.

October 17th, 2009 09:11 PM #19I've seen both Mazda 2 and Ford Fiesta and between the two, I think Fiesta looks better
I wonder which one will offer a better bang for the buck.

This little Mazda may hit local roads already by January next year.
"The all-new Mazda2, known in other markets as the Demio, may start rolling on local roads by January, a reliable industry source told TopGear.com.ph."
