Consumer reports is US based.

To be included, a brand must have sufficient data for at least 2 of its vehicles. Mitsubishi's US presence has significantly diminished over the years.

CVTs & DCTs are known weak links. They might've been factors for the fall of many there.

We all know there will be misses in mass builds. We see recalls pretty much regularly, pretty much every make has had em. It's easy to get down digging the net & pointing, but 1st hand data & numbers are what the reports are all about. CVTs & DCTs were the reasons why premium makes stopped, switched or never jumped right in.
We all have healthy badge threads in this forum. The Skyactiv generation community has generally just been about their happiness.
I'm merely a messenger of good news here, sir. I don't make em. I had doubts, gave this make a try & so far, am gladly convinced, twice over.
I've to apologize though that Crabbing & Fishing never really caught my fancy, but I do appreciate the dishes off em.[emoji4]
