07 tribute? worth the buck? pls help.

matanong ko lang if worth it ba talaga ang tribute? may nag offer kasi sa dad ko ng test unit 2007 model, 4x2, sunroof and 11,000km na mileage niya tapos selling prioce is 800k yata(not really sure,pero more or less) but still negotiating pa kasi in my opinion too expensive yung price.

how much should the price be para it will be worth it? kasi i think nasa 1.1m lang yung 09 model if im not mistaken.

hows the parts? service? reliability? ride? FC?

You're better off buying an '07 KIA Sorento CRDI than that. Di ka pa mahihirapan sa parts. (same or lower price)

or bili ka na lang ng bnew Mitsu Montero 2.5L 4x2 (1.3M).

yup me tribute kami 06 model ata not sure..malakas nga sa GAS..pero sa reliability
wala ka masasabi...basta alaga lang sa PMS. not adviceable as a daily driven car lalo na kung malayo ang office(assuming nag oopisina pa tatay mo) ng tatay mo sa bahay nyo..

and yes tama sila mag Diesel kana lang na Tucson o kaya Sorento...

The facelifted model has been retuned to give a slightly better FC (like the Escape) though the initial throttle response has lagged but nothing to worry about really. This is solid value vehicle and since you're buying a "pre-owned" one, the initial depreciation would work for you.

i think this is the last batch with the sunroof. not yet the facelifted model.
we have a 07 tribute as well.
we got this instead of the facelifted version coz of the sunroof.
mababa nga ang fc. pero ok naman so far.
better for long drive coz usual route is manila-lucena.
as long as it carries the 3year warranty from the casa, its good for enough for me.

You can get Sorento these days for 700-800 lang. Super bilis nun. I heard it can also reach 200. Reliability wise, ok na ok naman.

The Sorento isn't a car, though... it's a ladder-frame truck. The suspension tuning is a bit on the soft side (the ride is kind of floaty) but there's no other indication that it might be fragile.

As for the soft ride, you can have it stiffened by changing some suspension parts I guess starting with the shocks.
