    im planning on buying my first car, may nag alok skin 130k 1996 mazda familia 323 manual transmission, hinge naman ng mga advise mga tol, wala k idea sa engine, tsaka sa fuel consumption. may nag sabe sa akin na sirain daw un makina, totoo ba? dapat ko ba bilhin for 130k

    For the MT variant, FC is around 8-10km/L. But then, it depends on how well maintained the car is.

    Sirain ang makina? Nope...

    If that is the GLi version (w/ ABS, foglights, etc.) and is in relatively good condition, yup.

    how would you know if its the gli version? kapag ittest drive ko na, nu un mga dapat icheck para malaman kng good condition pa

    GLi version (ata ha? not sure) does not come with the CD changer, i think.
    normally, hindi sirain ang makina ng Familia. ang unang nadadali dyan is yung fender. kinakalawang.

    my sister has one, eto yung mga nasira sa kanya.

    a. a/c condenser
    b. radiator/water pump
    c. high tension wires
    d. ngayon, parang loose compression na ata. mukhang kailangan ng overhaul.

    but then again, depende talaga ata sa condition and how it was maintained. medyo barubal gumamit ng oto ang utol ko. one time, nakalimutan ipa change oil for one year. nung drinain, putik na ang lumabas.

    matibay naman makina nyan. kahit hindi well maintained tatagal naman. umabot naman sa akin dati ng 145k kms in 9 years without overhaul kahit twice a year lang ako magchange oil. once din lang ako nagpalit ng mga gaskets, clutch at shocks. tinirik lang ako nung naubusan ng battery. otherwise, kahit sa baha ok siya.

    problema lang minsan maloko yung idling. sinisinok. daming pwedeng cause. pero sa akin dati naremedyo nung nilinis ko yung MAF sensor. and yes, the rear fender is prone to rust.

    gli - nakasulat sa gilid hehe. 1.6L makina, walang rear defogger (yung glxi and lx meron), hindi 60/40 fold ang rear seats, walang cd changer, walang foglamps, walang 3rd brake light, walang abs, walang rear seatbelts, hindi height adjustable yung seats, wala ring tilt adjust yung steering column. kung meron lahat yan, glxi yun.

    ok na yung price kung gli. mababa na yan kung glxi.

    maraming salamat mga tol, excited n k mgkaroon ng una kong car, sa friday ko p titignan at ittest drive, nghahanap k ng mssma n mekaniko, bka my kakilala kayo?

    mga bro, maraming salamat sa mga advise, nabili k n un mazda, so far ok naman cia. may problema sa power lock, delayed.... pnu kya maayos un?

    probably an actuator problem. just have it lubricated muna. might do the trick.

    some grease and WD40 might fix. If not, the servo might need replacing.

    Some corrections

    GLI = top of the line of gen 2 familia (up to 1997)
    GLXI = top of the line gen 2.5 familia (1997 up)

    GLI is basically the same as the GLXI. CD changer, foglamps, 60/40 split & fold rear seats, 8-way adjustable driver's seat, rear seatbelts, adjustable steering wheel, 4-wheel ABS, 3rd brake lamp, defogger, etc.

    un sa driver na pinto pag tinaas m un lock, delayed bgo bumukas un sa iba, pero pag binuksan mo un door ng driver pos sinara mo ulit, bubukas un iba din.... pero pag binaba m un lock sa driver pinto lock kagad lahat, lubrication lang ba yun?
    san pwede pagawa?
    mgkano kaya abutin?

    ^^hmmm, mukhang sa central locking na yan ah... san location mo?
    kung palit lang naman central locking, mga 2-3k lang yun.

    AFAIK the pre-1997 1/2 model designations were GL and GLX. the "i" was added onwards together with the 1.3 variant (LX or LXi). in 1999 the logo was replaced from the "ghostbuster" look to the current "flying M" and the glxi had driver's airbag.

    anyway, basta andun yung mga sinabing features, top-end yun.

    meron ako tanong, kapag naka first gear tapos inandar mo, nanginginig un makina kapag kulang un apak ng gas, normal lang ba un o may sira?

    san ok mgpacheck ng kalampag? mgkano estimate magagastos?
