Car gurus of tsikot, i just want to consult you with something. I just bought a used mazda3 hatchback last week and everything bout it was ok, including the airbag. Then i bought it for a carwash, just a body wash.. Then when i drove it after that, the airbag warning indicator wont go away. it just stayed there. Im aware that when the ignition is on and after the engine's cranked, the warning light should not be there after 6 seconds as per the car manual..

Guys, what do u think is wrong? i bought it yesterday to Rey's at tuazon and they said that they should check the computerbox. And the guy who sold it to me said that it can be a bulb lang na nagmalfunction..

What are your opinion guys? really appreciate your help.. thanks!

The warning light is telling you that the airbag system is faulty... chances are it can be the sensors used to trigger the system. Since it is faulty, the system will be disabled and will not fire in case of accident.

To have it fixed, best is to have it checked at your nearest Mazda service center. Alternative is to find a service shop who might be able to trace the problem. You cna try calling up SPEEDLAB if they can help you.

Unfortunately I have no idea on the pricing of the parts if the sensors are faulty. But if you try Mazda casa, they can give you a quote on the parts.

Note: Mazda casa charges a service fee on diagnosing a problem.

Just maybe, the front impact sensor (one of two) got wet during the wash throwing a fault code to the ECU and lighting up your dash light.

Just a maybe. A visit to the dealer is advised.

    Just wear your seatbelts always.
