Anyone here knows the curb weight of:

    Gen 1 323 (1300 engine) = ????? kg
    Gen 2.5 Familia (1300 engine) = ????? kg

I'm surprised to find out that the tiny Astina weighs 1300 kg as per LTO papers. It is heavier than the larger, bulkier Civic ESi. Mazdatech peeps say the gen 1 323 is much lighter than its Astina counterpart.

This is because I saw a very cheap B3 engine (1300 cc) from a gen 1 with really low mileage, and an easy engine swap came to mind.

PS: I tried google.com but it gave different irrelevant results. I was thinking an owner could post the curb weight as per the LTO Original Reciept.

That's weird. Curb weight for that model (pop-up headlights, five door, right?) should be around 1000-1100 kgs only. But then, LTO records are hardly accurate.

The 1.3 should be at around 1000 kgs flat, or a bit lighter. The extra weight from the hatch will be from the extra bodywork (pop-up headlights are heavier than standard) and the big glass hatch.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I have the brochure (back to back flyer) of the mid-90's 323 sedan 1.3 (75PS SOHC 16-valve).
    The Curb weight is 935kg.

PS: This 323 is not the 1st gen 323, its just the first 323 sold here under the Mazda brand.

Thanks for the info mga sir.

Sabi kasi nung ibang Astina boys sa MTP mas magaan daw yung samin (980 kg).

Anyway, 1300 kg would be way too much nga naman.

And yes, the hatch door really feels heavy than a typical sedan trunk lid.

Found this over the internet, the Astina 1.6 has a curb weight of 1020kg (M/T) and 1050kg (A/T), local spec Astina models should be identical or just slightly less these.
The (local gen 1) 323 sedan should have a curb weight of around 1000kg, the JDM 1.5 M/T model weighs around 980kg.

Yeah an Astina guy from MTP said something like that, probably a little less than a ton.

For the 2009 Original Receipt, it even had a Model 2005 somewhere below the left column. Must be a typo.

Curb weight of gen 1 and gen 2.5 with 1300 engines???
